I think Brandon Paul should be worth a second round pick, just because of what he brings to the table. He’s very athletic, as he has proven over the span of his 4-year career at Illinois, and he is a big time player. Sure, he struggles with his perimeter shooting, can be inconsistant, and makes some poor decisions, but aren’t there NBA players who do the same thing?

Brandon Paul stepped up and led this Illini team this season, and he did one hell of a job doing it. From winning the Maui Invitational, to beating top teams such as Gonzaga, Indiana, and Ohio State, Paul has shined signs of brilliance in his final season at the University of Illinois.

I like Paul as a second round pick, and an energy guy off of the bench in the NBA who can score and play bigger than what he size shows. He reminds me a lot of a smaller Corey Brewer. Pretty athletic, has good scoring abilities, but plays a little fast and makes poor decisions.

I don’t know, I am probably biased because I am an Illinois fan, but I think after he showcases his skills in Chicago later this year, he will find himself on an NBA roster come draft day.
