Player of the Week

Cooper Flagg, Duke

It’s basically impossible to not have Flagg in these articles at this point. He is the clear No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, if he decides to go after this season. He has said that there is a chance that he returns to Duke, but if they win it all, I think he will definitely leave. He has been the best player in college basketball this season. Against Virginia, he put up a double double consisting of 17 points and 14 rebounds and in the later game he put up 16 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and a steal. Flagg continues to impress week in and week out. Flagg could be one of the best players in the NBA in year one. He is one of the most promising prospects in the past few years and could be an all-star in year one.

Who’s Hot

Donald Hand Jr., Boston College Eagles

Hand has been a pleasant surprise on an average Eagles team. Hand won Co-Player of the Week and has been the best player on the maroon and gold. In the squad’s two victories this week he had 16 points and 2 boards against Virginia Tech and against Georgia Tech he had 20 points, 7 rebounds, and a rebound. Hand Jr. is a player to watch for next season’s NBA Draft.

RJ Davis, North Carolina Tar Heels

Davis is breaking records. He became third in the all time scorers list in the ACC. Against Virginia he had 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Against Florida State he had 20 points, 5 assists and 1 block. Davis is in his final year of eligibility and is looking for a national championship. If he continues playing at this level he could continue to put the Tar Heels in a position to win a national championship.

Who’s Cold

California Golden Bears

The Golden Bears have had some highs and some lows this season. Right now the squad is on a losing streak. The blue and gold are on a four-game losing streak. They have lost six of their last seven games and it doesn’t look like things will be turning around soon.

Virginia Cavaliers

The Cavaliers are having a down year this season. They have lost back-to-back games to No. 2 Duke and North Carolina. The squad’s fate of making the tournament seems slim. They’d have to win out to have a chance at making the tournament or do well in the ACC tournament to have a chance of making it to March Madness.
