Blake is still young. Everyone says he’s ready to put up 18 and 10 within a season or two, and I agree. However, he’s going to shoot lower percentages and commit more turnovers than people think. If Blake is left alone in the post to develop, I think there’s a chance he becomes Zach Randolph (if he lost some weight). That’s not necessarily a good thing as I can see Blake becoming a black hole on offense. That being said, If the Clips get Bosh/ Amare/ Boozer, it’ll teach Griffin how to play within the offense and still be effective. I don’t think signing any of the above mentioned hurts Griffin’s development. Sure, it might make his stats deflated, but he will be learning from the best, day in, day out in practice.
