JNixonParticipantIguodala has played very good offensively this season, and he’s shown the ability to play all 3 positions equally well, but he’s falling asleep on D more than usual (even though he’s still one of the elite defenders in basketball). I like what I’m seeing out of him though to start off, he’s a very unselfish player. He could score upward of 20 a game, but it’s obvious that he doesn’t really look for his own offense until the rest of the guys get into their flow of the game. Iguodala is still one of the more underrated players in basketball to me, as he’s an elite all-around player who isn’t as selfish as all the other franchise players out there.

The Big Othe only reason, philly is bad is bcuz they don’t have a PG threat to complement Iguodala,
he’s one of those types of players that needs pressure taken off him to thrive. IMPO0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:37am #227703

JNixonParticipantPhilly isn’t bad at all, they are over .500 and Lou Williams has been stepping up for Philly. It took him a little time to understand the offense and how to run it, but now it’s not him who’s the problem. It’s been Thaddeus Young, he’s been the weakest link in the starting 5. Brand and Dalembert have been playing pretty good, and now Thad is playing bad. When everybody starts playing like they’re capable, then Philly will be a playoff team. I guarantee that. It’ll come though, I have no doubt about it.

JNixonParticipantHis shots aren’t falling, and he hasn’t been able to get to the rim. I think he’s getting used to the extra attention he’s starting to get after his breakout last year.

JNixonParticipantHe operates out of the corner, or the elbow extended. And he either takes a 3 or drives, out of the triple threat. He rarely passes out of it…so I guess it’s a double threat. But he’s not a good ball-handler so when he drives he has a man on him that he hasn’t fully beat plus a player in helpside to cut him off. Sometimes he can get to the rim and finish because his 1st step is so damn quick, but if he has someone with quick feet guarding him, he cant really get there. And he can’t shoot off the dribble, so it hurts. He’s better the closer he is to the rim, that’s why he was so good last year. He could use his quickness and weird post game to score. That jump hook he has is crazy looking, but it always works lol.

JNixonParticipantThad actually reminds me of a poor man’s Antwaan Jamison. They both have unorthodox styles of play, and both are combo forwards.
