Am I the only one that feels the bull should go after somebody like amare or bosh instead of another guard? If they get wade or joe johnson that would slow down the progress of rose but a bigman would help his progress and give them the lowpost scorer that they’ve been lacking

i disagree, another guard like Wade would defenitly help Rose in his career and help the Bulls contend.

It looks like their first order of business is to figure out what to do with Tyrus Thomas. I think Wade is a priority for them this summer, but I think they are going to have to move Thomas before the deadline. He isn’t with the team because he is upset he didn’t get an extention and he is just a cancer to a young team right now.

They will be a jumshooting team until the have a legit post player. Tyrus Thompson isn’t the answer. He’s in love with the jump shot. Jokim Noah isn’t the answer, either. He’ impressing me less and less. His rebounding is OK. He’s turning into the Ben Wallace/Tyson Chandler type. But his offense is horrid. To think he was considered the #1 overall pick coming out of Florida.

I think Boozer would be the best player for them. Better than Bosh and Amare. They need a big body down low who can score. Wade would be good, but only if they can’t get one of the 3 PF’s in the class.

amare somebody rose could perfect the pick and roll with or bosh if not they need to draft a low post player but wade would offset rose’s talents both need the ball and create off the dribble

how would D.Wade help Rose’s career? he wants ball he scorers as many as anyone and still make assists, so would down in almost all statistics…and like someone mentioned, Amare would be perfect(combo of physical game in defense and offense with Joakim&him, pick&rools which would help alot Rose to improve as a point guard, and Rose still would dominate the ball whenever he wants) and I still think Bulls would be even stronger, more complete team with him IMO

IMO he’ll help take pressure off Rose especially in tight game situations which wade can help out with. And he’ll have a better 2 spot player to play along slide with and salmons can slide to the 3. I think as wade benefits rose, rose will help wade in his career as well.

I don’t care if wade would slow down rose’s progress or not. If you can get those two together, you do it without hesitation. I do think a Bosh or amare might be a good fit, but not better then Wade. MVP’s >all-stars. And iggy, you really think Boozer would be a better fit then amare or bosh? Boozer is not as physical as some might think. I wouldn’t take him over the other two unless the other two wanted a lot more money.

He is a better defender and rebounder than both of those players. He provides more low post toughness, and he can be a near 20 ppg scorer. And he is a strong bodied post player that they lack. He may not be as physical as he looks, but he’s more physical than Stoudemire and Bosh.

iggy, i dont think boozer is a better player than either bosh or stoudemire… while hes a terrific rebounder (probably better than amare, not better than bosh) he just doesnt have the physicality and D that the other 2 have.. i think your COMPLETELY wrong sayin boozer is a better defender than the other 2…. i mean i know neither of em play very good D but to say boozer is better at it just isnt right… also ill give boozer that hes very ambidextrous and is GREAT with finishing with both hands… which can really beat defenders… but bosh and amare both have a mid range game that boozer will never have… not to mention their game above the rim is light years beyond boozers…

Yeah, but Bosh is 25 and has no history of injuries. Noah looks to be turning in to a high energy defensive center who is going to get 10+ rebounds. The Bulls need a legit #1 option. Deng is a very good player, but he would be more fitted for a #2 option with his great mid-range game. Rose isn’t ready to carry the load every night either from an offensive standpoint. Boozer is a 20 point scorer, but not a #1 option. I think Bosh would be the best fit as a #1 option and he’s no slouch on the boards either, he’ll still get you 9-10 per night.

I just don’t think Bosh is going to be a good enough defender for them to be title contenders. And for as good a defender as everyone thinks Noah is, he’s overpowered easily, makes the most impact on D off the ball on weakside rotations; not in actual post D, and he’s not a quality starter for the center spot. Bosh and Noah would not be good in post D.

lamar odom has single handidly out played boozer each of the past two post season’s. ANd i’m not just saying that because his team won, Lamar has been better on the court and done more to impact the game. Boozer will get you 20-10, but there is a reason he opted into his contract for 12 mill, because he knew no one was gonna give him that much on the open market. You don’t think Amare and Bosh will get that 12 mill per without hesitation?

Noah, and Gibson are good help side defenders. You are right, they do get overpowered, Noah, is 235 or so, but I don’t think Boozer is the answer. I’ve been very unimpressed by his play early this season, he is a vet and I’m sure he’ll get it together as the season progresses, but of all the power forwards out there, I would not be pleased if they got Boozer, I don’t think he would get them over the hump of a 7-5 seed, I think Bosh would.

I dunno, he was 220 out of college, but I checked NBA.com and they have him at 235. I think he could play power forward next to a top tier or offensive center, but I think he will continue to get stronger and be a solid center.

I for one don’t love the idea of Wade/Rose combination….Both need the ball in their hands…But great talent beats great chemistry…I like the idea of Amare

i agree that wade and rose don’t seem to make the most sense, but how can you turn down an opportunity to get a guy like wade. Besides, would anybody be able to stay in front of those two consistently? But if you take Wade out of the discussion, then I think Bosh might be the next best. Amare is an even worse defender then Bosh is.

Dhamp I have not seen you in a while what is good but also I think James Johnson or Taj Gibson could be serviceable at the 4 until next years draft that is packed with more talented big men.

James Johnson is a SF through and through to me. But I think they should package Hinrich and Thomas.

James Johnson can play both unlike Thomas and also I agree with the trading Hinrich and Thomas. Thomas does not fit this team well.

I agree that Thomas probably needs to be traded. It really hasn’t worked out. Why does everyone always say Hinrich should be traded though? He’s a great backup point guard who could start for quite a few teams. He can play both guard positions and is a very good defender. He can defend three positions, plus he stretches the floor on offense with his shooting. I think he’s a very solid piece.

As exciting as a Rose/Wade backcourt sounds, I’m not sure how great of a fit it’d be. They have very similar games. I know Rose is extremely unselfish, but Wade is so ball dominant that I think it’d take away a lot from Rose’s game. Even with that being said… If Chicago has an opportunity to land Wade, they HAVE to go for it. They’d be crazy not to.

I think Bosh is the best fit. Bosh has REALLY improved. He’s gotten bigger/stronger and just has a more aggressive mentality. He’s playing a lot closer to the basket/settling for less jumpshots and rebounding better. He’s defense isn’t great, but it’s improved. I think he’s better than both Stoudemire and Boozer. Stoudemire is great offensive player, but he’s very overrated. He’s not a good defender nor rebounder. Boozer is undersized and he isn’t really a good defender either. It’s still early (Stoudemire is working himself back into game shape), but I feel that Bosh has surpassed Stoudemire and Boozer.

agreed tezo. I wonder why everyone thinks they should give up Hinrich. He still get’s close to 30 minutes by playing both gaurd positions and he always does his job.

I didn’t say that he was a better player, because I don’t think he is. I said I think he’s a better FIT for the Bulls. And they don’t have better mid-range games than Boozer. And neither defends better or rebounds better. They are both better scorers than Boozer and are more athletic, but Boozer is a bigger body, which they need, and provides good post D and rebounding ability.

What up Sheltwon! Long story short, I had computer problems. How’s the Texas life? Houston is doing better than expected. Ariza is doing his best. He may finally reach his potential. We’ll see.

I’ll have to say either Bosh or Boozer is the better fit for the bulls, either or would do. I prefer Bosh because he’s younger which fits the Bulls building process of a young team. Booze would be great if they could sign him to a mid level deal next year, say some where around the 7mil area. Bosh would cost a bit more somewhere above 10 mil. Bulls will have to base their pick on price or age come summer time. Either one would fit the Bull system. They both don’t play great D but solid. Both have a low post game that would help the Bulls. I’m going to say, it all comes on the asking price come summer time unless they can make a trade before the deadline.

im thinking the same thing llperez22…it doesnt matter if it slows down rose individual progress the point is what would make the team better reguardless of how someones stats or indivdual stuff may end up…im sure pippens progress was slowed by playing with jordan but it helped the team win and jordan is the better player..would be the same with wade and rose. the main objective is to get the team better to get to a title..amare wouldnt be a bad pick either since noah would be the defender and amare would be the offense down there…im a big laker fan and odom is a more versitile player then boozer but hes not better..i cant agree lamar had better seasons the past 2 years..boozer put up 16 and 10 both years and was hurt while lamar was putting up 11 and 8 and 14 and 10….yeah lamar didnt start but he played starter minutes and boozer played hurt..the year before boozers injuries he was on the all nba team ..so yeah lamar is more versitle but i cant say hes better for the bulls as a power foward by any means

as for lamar and boozer, i think it’s close but I would give the edge to boozer. I just said he outplayed him in the post season match ups, not the whole season. In any case, if the bulls can get wade, bosh, amare or boozer it would be a good summer. But to me, boozer would be the lowest priority on that list. If the bulls want to turn the corner from good to legit contenders, then they need to add one more big piece. I like Thomas as a backup, but not as my starting pf especially in May and June.
