valentineso all the haters, stop hatin. steph is lookin like he has the makings of being a solid pro. his jumper is not falling as well as everyone thought it would be right off the start, but he is also doing the little things (averaging a couple of steals a game) and setting his teammates up. he had 4 ast and 3 stls in the 1st quarter in the game vs houston. hes a pimp, i think he can eventually make an all star team

quincey hodgeshe looks like a pretty good pro to me also..playing that pg position very well…if you think hes a tweener sup then you must think evans is a tweener because he looks bad as a pg..better as a sg…and a couple of other ookies who havent played that well at the position they are expeced to be

lalailaParticipantand I’m really not impressed so much.. i like his some pg skills but his terrific scoring don’t translate there, 37mpg??? i never thought he will play so much, i anybody been told me he will play so much i would predict 16-18ppg , i don’t see it…and with being better points guards Jennings and FLynn is even better scorers also.

quincey hodgesyeah its kinda hard for it to translate when you have monta and jackson firin gup at will…you put jennings and flynn on gs and im pretty sure there scoring will go down. plus his role on the team is to pass more then it is to score because he has scorers on his team..flynn and jennings role is to score more because of who they have..flynn wont need to score as much once al gets his legs back and love comes back…id still take both over steph though

SupParticipantEvans is just slow, not great and product of a weak NCAA but Curry is a tweener and that’s being generous, he isn’t even strong enough to play point. He would be a terrific, Drew Nicholas type.

SupParticipant*not great at pg
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/03/2009 - 10:44am #226424
quincey hodgesnot strong enough to play the point?..you dont have to be very strong to play the pg position..its not a power position and most pg dont do the mark jackson thing and post a player up…check out this http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/?page=&year=2009&sort2=ASC&draft=0&pos=1&sort=…look at the bench rep numbers to see how strong curry is

quincey hodgesi dont know if hes gonna be a great pg or not..no one knows..but i think he will be a very good one

sheltwon3ParticipantHe can play point and I think he will see a big jump in his second year and in the second half of this nba season. We all can see the skills but it is all about when everything will come together.

quincey hodgessome weaker pgs…evans,dj augustine, aron brooks, devin harris,,,brandon roy(not a pg but had a lower bench rep count then curry,,oj mayo jru holiday..even iggy back when he came into the nba

JNixonParticipantEven though Curry put up good bench numbers at the combine, he’s not very strong at all. Same thing with Mike Conley. Iguodala, Brandon Roy, and even Al Jefferson put up weak bench numbers at the combine, but they’re all strong players. I mean how many times has Al Jefferson been pushed off the low post?

quincey hodgesat the same time saying curry isnt strong with no evidence makes since….people say that just how he looks..he hasnt been constantly overpowered nor back down so just to say hes not strong doesnt make sense

NYK2010ParticipantCurry isn’t fast def not as fast as Brooks, Harris, Augustine. You have to go up against bigger PG’s to be taken in the post and backed down guys like Deron Williams, Baron Davis, Kidd, Billups. Going up against Nash he gave up 20 asts and 12 asts, 18 pts by Aaron Brooks. Its been only 2 games after 10-15 games let see what happens.

quincey hodgesCURRY IS FAST ENOUGH..AND MOST ROOKIES HAVE PROBLEM ON D(DERRICK ROSE WAS GETTING BEAT CONSTANTLY LAST YEAR)..oops forgot to turn caps off…as long as he continues to rack up assists(second in the nba) and get people the ball in the best position for them to score then he will be fine..no one stops dwill or kidd so that doesnt matter and they gonna get there numbers reguardless.. peopel keep overrating getting alot bigger or alot stronger when as long as you arent gettign scored on all the time it doesnt really matter..there are plenty of guys smaller then the guys they check but they still do a good job because they use there basketball iq which he has plenty of..you dont have to be overly fast or strong …how many people has nash gave monster numbers too?..how many has been score on alot by brooks?..

quincey hodgeswhat do some of ya’ll considered fast?..would you say 40yard sprint time judges how fast a player is?( thats how its judges when they determine the word fastest man)..if so then curry is onlu .05sec slower then flynn
