JNixonParticipantI think he’s rated fine now by this sites users. But there are (kinda not-surprisingly) alot of basketball fans that don’t know anything much about him because of Sacto’s lack of exposure nationally, so in a sense, yes he’s still underrated. But I simply see him as a dynamic scorer/shooter, so I think he’s rated fine by me.

JJeff6Participanti think crawford would be a good choice, wat about jose calderon or mike dunleavy

wowthisisneatParticipantI think that their is a difference between underrated and not being known of enough. For instance: i think that a player like Kevin Love is underrated because i think that he is better than people give him credit for. ie: 2nd all rookie team instead of first. A lesser known player may be Al Jefferson who everyone who knows him thinks that hes a top PF/C in the league yet hes as known to the casual fan

td8118ParticipantCrawford is really really good…Hes going to be just as big to be Hawks as Terry is to the Mavs

THAT underrated very long .)0 - Posted on: Sun, 10/25/2009 - 7:02pm #223790

JJeff6Participanthonestly, i dont really think deron is underated anymore, ur rite about antonio daniels and barbosa, and jefferson wont be underrated much longer

PureshooterParticipantAnthony Morrow
know that there are quite a few guys on this board who think he’s the best shooter in the league, but most people are still in the dark about him.

justin22443ParticipantI completely agree with Anthony Morrow. Such a sweet stroke. I know he’s nothing amazing but Jarvis Hayes is a player I’ve always been a fan of. He has a pretty solid game but never gets much shine.

lalailaParticipantGranger?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/26/2009 - 9:33am #223891

MagikKnickParticipantCalderons name should get mentioned among some of the top PGs in the NBA….hes a great PG
Chris Duhons underrated, he may not be Steve Nash but he does his job well (knicks plug)
Half the Golden State Warriors roster is underrated…Morrow, Azubuike, Watson, Turiaf, Beidrins, i consider Randolph underrated, kinda makes you wonder….is it just because GState doesnt get enough exposure? Or are they all being overshadowed by the ego of their head coach?

The Big OHe’s a game manager. Give it to bosh and get the heck out of the way.
Who does he get open shots? If ure a top pg u draw attention from other players thus getting them BETTER looks
if Steve Nash were on the team he’d make players better (offensively)
if Billups were on the team he’d manage the game, hit tough shots, and solidify your backcourt (and make players better defensively)Calderon, I remember Kenny Smith laughed at the guy on national television.
Calderon is officially OVERRATED

R-Dot-13ParticipantCalderon is very overrated .
Hes unathletic, a very poor defender,
he’s an above average shooter though, but he’s struggling right now.
Trianos doing teh right thing having him split time with jack.0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:48am #227705
The Big OAndre Iguodala
Gerald Wallace0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:55am #227708

marcusfizer21ParticipantMy take on him was, how the hell did this guy NOT get drafted in the NBA? He has a smooth stroke, a very good offensive player and when he heats up, it’s hard for anybody to stop him… He was the first rookie to lead the league in 3-point FG % and YET, he wasn’t even invited in the 3-Point Contest… Damn injustice! This year, he’s going to make a few more heads turn on him because he has worked hard this summer… He is one of the few lone bright spots in the Warriors now and he should get recognition ’cause he deserved it…

JNixonParticipantI watched Anthony Morrow alot in college, and he does alot of the same stuff he does now and was still a dynamic shooter. But I didn’t think much of him being in the NBA because he was real skinny and weak, and he wasn’t real quick or athletic to make up for it and he was a poor ball-handler. But he’s proving me wrong, he’s improved his handle some and has gotten bigger which is helping him.
Watch out for Jeremy Hazell of Seton Hall, he’s an Anthony Morrow clone and would probably succeed in the NBA with the same type of role. You heard it here 1st haha

theasianpersuasionParticipantYou guys already mentioned the good ones…
I guess that David Lee is somewhat underrated. He’s definitely not the best, but he’s still a good contributor. On all of the fantasy drafts I was in, nobody really talked too much about him or his double-doubles…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 12:36pm #227804
quincey hodgeshow is david lee underrated when he gets the respect he deserves?..they always talk about him during games and sports center…underrated has to be a guy people dont consider that good or rarely gets talked about
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 2:06pm #227845
youngmagParticipantIggy is really underrated…he does it all a lot of people don’t notice that. I also feel Salmons is underrated.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 2:45pm #227866
quincey hodgesok some of these guy you name arent underrated?..who doesnt know that iggy is versitile?..anyone i know that watches basketball will tell you he can do alot of things..mayeb my definition is different then some of ya’ll as far as underrated..i think some on like will bynum is underrated since alot of people dont know hes a pretty good player. ..i can understand some one being underrated who plays somewhere like minny or utah where alot of people dont know too much about the player
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 2:50pm #227872

JNixonParticipantYea Iguodala is underrated, he’s an All-Star level player and has been for the past 2-3 seasons. But he has no all-stars. It’s not about what you know about a player that determines if they’re underrated to me, it’s about whether or not they get the accolades and credit they deserve. Alot of people know about the way a player plays, but that doesn’t determine if they’re getting the credit they deserve, if you see what I’m saying.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 2:52pm #227873
quincey hodgesyeah but thats if you should be a allstar over someone who made it that plays youre position..i cant honestly say i would have put him over granger or lebron
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 2:53pm #227875
quincey hodgesor paul pierce…i can understand being underrated if you should be on the all star team over somone else at youre position but he doesnt over any of those guys
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 2:58pm #227880

JNixonParticipantI think he’s better than Granger. Granger scored more points and got more blocks than Iguodala, and carried a bigger load but Iguodala is clearly the better player. He brings more to the table every night, and statistically, the only things Granger did better than Iguodala are what I just listed (excluding the “carried a bigger load” part haha). Every single thing else Iguodala did better. So yes, Iguodala was underrated.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:02pm #227884
youngmagParticipantHe isn’t better than Granger…I’m sorry Iggy does bring more to the table only because he is a better passer than Granger but Granger is just as good as a defender a way better offensive player and for the fact that Granger will kill you from anywhere on the court just gives him the edge.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:04pm #227885
quincey hodgeswell youre a philly fan so thats expected that you and other phill fans feel that way..i dont like(or dislike) either team or player but id say granger is the better player…iggy i the more versitle but i have to go with granger as the better player..i dont really judge by who brings more to the table statisticly to strongly because i think jordan is the best ever and kobe is better then lebron but the big o and magic brings more statistically then jordan and lebron brings more then kobe
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:05pm #227886
quincey hodgesi agree young mag….granger is just a better player to me..right now iggy struggles with some of his own fans to distinguish if hes better then t.young( although i think he is)..
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:07pm #227887

JNixonParticipantThose fans don’t understand basketball…..
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:08pm #227890
quincey hodgesi agree with that..cuz i dont even think its close as too young and iggy
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:14pm #227892
youngmagParticipantExactly Quincy..I go by who was more effective….ppl always bring stats first that doesn’t tell the whole story. Thats why I think Kobe is better than Lebron because he is more effective even though Lebron does bring more to the table.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:47pm #227904

R-Dot-13ParticipantJohn Salmons is underrated
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 3:51pm #227907
quincey hodgesnow that one about salmons i agree with
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 4:02pm #227911

JNixonParticipantHe’s one of the very best defenders in basketball too. He’s probably top 3 in terms of SG.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 7:56pm #227996
youngmagParticipantI said that on my first post..ppl didn’t notice what he did to the Celtics during the playoffs…he lit Pierce up his game is very simple and smooth he just knows how to get his shot off.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/08/2009 - 8:01pm #227999
quincey hodgesim not sure if you watched the playoffs but salmons only lit paul up that one game/..all the other games paul was lighting him up
