Looking at teams that may draft #1 available, a couple of intersting situations may develop

The worst team in the league is probably the Kings…however, they seem to have a backcourt of the future with Martin and Evans, and lets say Evans wins ROY as Kings starting PG….do they draft BPA(Best Player Available) in John Wall and cause a full court overload or do they take someone who may fit a need better like Derrick Favors

TWolves- same thing, would they really add another PG to go along with Flynn, Sessions, and maybe Rubio…even if Wall is clearly the best player available

OKC- they will probably not be in this position but you never know…their most clear need is obviously in the frontcourt particularly a Center

Look at the teams that have a possibility of drafting 1 overall…GS with Curry and Ellis, MEM with Conley, Mayo, New Jersey with D. Harris

I think Wall is the best player in this class, however is it possible he may slip because of these NBA teams backcourt overload

This is good news for the Knicks IMO…they have the possibility of trading up

class and this is what I noticed as well. John Wall would be best suited going to a team that shows him love from the get go aka makes him the man from the start. I think it would be wise for teams to trade up and build around a defensive guard. As we all know defensive stops win ball games. Big guards can get u those on occasion.

Bucks are there too with Jennings. Don’t the Jazz have the rights to the Knicks first round pick or somethin?

I think a lot more then chandler, unless he has a killer year, but knicks have a lot of greedy players, and a log jam at the 2 and 3…and the 4. It’s ironic because those are the spots that they hope to fill with allstar free agents and the other spots (1 and 5) they don’t have anyone of worth and there’s no one to sign there. The knicks situation is pretty grim right now, I can’t imagine anyone signing there and thinking they have a legit chance to win games within the first year or two.

Good post, but I think we have to wait and see just how good Wall is this season. I mean, it’s very possible he could have a Derrick Rose type of season or even better. If that’s the case, he’d be surpassing his own hype and obviously be considered a franchise caliber point guard. It’d be hard to pass him up.

Tezo83, not only is it premature to evaluate Wall on the season that hasn’t even started, what about all of the changes that will happen in the NBA over the course of the season? There will be trades, injuries, surprises, and teams that will have to rebuild when the season is over. But that’s why they play the games.

I think it’s fairly obvious that at this point in time, we don’t know who will need what next spring. The only thing we can say with certainty, this should prove to be a very interesting year in the NBA and College Basketball.

how is any of that good news for the Knicks being able to trade up and land Wall? They don’t have a first rounder next year. As for the other teams, I always go best available regardless of position.

for the Knicks being able to trade and land Wall?
Nate Robinson and Chris Duhon for John Wall! Come on down Lebron!
Knix fans are delusional and screwed; they’re screwed and don’t even know it.
Even if they do get Lebron who’s their defensive center?
      Isn’t Gallinari a SF? Isn’t Chandler a SF? WTF?
