d rose and westbrook

As a bruin fan, I would love to agree with you, but I don’t. Rose is gonna be better then Westbrook in my book. But they can both become all-stars.

i think westbrook will become an outstanding player, but i think in time, rose will become better all-around, but its going to be close. kind of reminds you of the deron williams-chris paul debate huh?

I like both of them you are right with westbrook being a better rebounder but Rose jump shot is more consistent and he is more of a pure point guard I really dont think westbrook is a PG he didnt even play pg in college collison did but he still is good just not better than rose.

It is pretty close but Rose just has that flair to his game and westbrook sometimes is very out of control both good players though

no you are not hte only one, a long time ago i tried to get this statement across and there were some people that agreed with me, westbrook is better .

Rose lead his team to the playoffs in his rookie year and then almost beat the defending champions at that time. Rose had about an equal supporting cast as Westbrook did. Westbrook can rebound better I will argee with that, other then that I dont see where westbrook is better. Roses potential is higher as well. He spent this time this summer training with Kobe so that should help for sure. I don think this will be a debate like CP3 and Deron because I just see rose pulling away.

I like those two STUDS, new generation of PGs is here(with Wall also coming) big strong but still faster and more athletic than most of 6footers..
just because of respect for 1st PICK i see Rose as a bit better..but i really don’t say he IS better.
Rose is more of true pg, good for Rose yeah? but who knows maybe it means Russell can learn more and has more upside?
as a scorers Rose is little better by avg, but once again Westbrook plays with DURANT plus Green is here(I remember when both, KD and Green was injured, WEstbrook had two straight games with 30+ points!) so while i still like rose as a better playmaker, more ready, more of leader, but Westbrook isn’t worse scorer(might even LITTLE better)

and then, why people underrating deffence, this is very big thing in basketball, and Westbrook has potential to be best defencive point guard, he is probably the best rebounding PG in the L even now.

plus who said he can’t play poin? three preseason games with 10 10 9 assists. yeah yeah it’s pre-season BUT 9.7 man! it’s something who typical SG can’t do.

Don’t get me wrong i’m NOTHING like Rose’s hater, but i just try to say that there is nothing like “Rose is way better”

I have argued this a million times. Literally a million times! Everytime that I see someone disrespecting Derrick Rose and saying that Russell Westbrook is better than him I almost get angry! Then I laugh because I know that this must be someone that obviously has no education of what Derrick Rose truly is. Derrick Rose is a better passer, rebounder, scorer, leader and he just has that it factor that Russell Westbrook just doesnt have. I could have sworn that when Russell Westbrook was at UCLA on a team with Kevin Love and Darren Collison, mind you two NBA first round picks, UCLA was not in the title game! Put Derrick Rose on that UCLA team and I bet they would have been there. Look even place Derrick Rose on Oklahoma City’s team with Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, James Harden and a guy that I am high on BJ Mullens. People would be talking about them making more noise in the Western conference. Rose is just simply a better overall player. I am from Chicago and I can rest assure you that no one in my city is mad that we chose Derrick Rose over Russel Westbrook. For the matter of the fact we are not even mad that we didnt drat Michael Beasley. Please people go to youtube and watch some Derrick Rose highlights and stop trying to embarrass the future best pointguard in the league. Actually after this year I feel that this debate will be more valid. Watch out for the Bulls! And I will say it. How could the league let James Johnson fall right into our lap? That was a steal! bdoody42 they did not have a equal supporting cast are you serious…on top of that okc is/was in a much tougher conference. then on top of all that westbrook and rose are about even with westbrook being the better defender and rebounder but get this…rose has been a pg all his life westbrook is just now learning the position so imagin how much better he will be when he finally learns how to be a pg. neither are great shooters but both will get better at that. and ben gordan had more to do with almost beating the celtics and rose was robin albet a very good one. and how is rose a better rebounder when he gets less rebounds then westbrook? i say westbrook

That is what i’m talking about..i don’t say Westbrook is better, but he can get so so alot better at PG position, that means his upside is so HUGE.

Rose Definetly isn’t Better by A LANDSLIDE, He’s Has Russell Beat But Not By Much

Westbrook has more raw talent but Rose has intangibles and polish to me. If Westbrook improve his basketball IQ, he would get the nod because of his defense and slightly strong athletic ability along with Height.
