Michael.S.ParticipantI see a Bosh to the Warriors rumor on ESPN for insiders only so I couldn’t see, it but anyways i started thinking of who the Raps could or would want to get in return, and I have a few scenarios
1. Bosh for Beidrins and Jackson, this could benefit Toronto greatly because they are getting a legit defensive presence downlow which they are clearly lacking in every area downlow and Beidrins is a legit player.
2. Bosh for Ellis and Wright, Sure Toronto has one of the most efficient PG’s in the game but would a combo guard hurt? Ellis could be a spark off the bench also while Bellinelli and Calderon start, Wright could give them a decent C with some potential on both ends
there are alot of possibilites with these teams what do you think?

Toronto16ParticipantESPN is just a bunch of idiots who make up false rumors.

dmo21Participantif i was toronto i would not want ellis, we have calderon, jack, bellinelli, and derozan for guards, dont need any others who only want to start and only want to score….
I have always like biedrins tho, great player who hustles and plays the game smart… would have liked the raptors to draft him instead of rafael arajuo, wherever the hell he is now haha….
Stephen jackson could be a toss up, he could work greatly as a wing man, or just disrupt the team..0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/12/2009 - 11:07am #221068
blackflash234ParticipantAnthony Randolph would have to be included in any type of deal for Chris Bosh for Bryan Colangelo to pull the trigger. Colangelo has been content on keeping Bosh here for as long as he can. Bosh is going no where at this point.

tli232I don’t know about anyone else, but I think the Raptors are getting the “Trailblazers’ Syndrome” It’s when a team has a lot of young depth, too much, that it’ll be hard to keep everyone satisfied. I think what the Raptors need to do with their roster is to make a few trades to shorten up the bench as right now, the Raptors’ bench is too crowded with players who are mediocre and bring one or two good skills. Going forward, I think the Raptors can afford to trade away a few bench pieces for a legit 6th man quality player (think Ronnie Brewer, Ilgauskas, etc).
Right now, the Raptors can legitimately go 13 deep barring injuries. I don’t think any team needs that many “playable players” on their team. The Raptors can definitely afford to do a two-for-one or a three-for-one for an upgrade on the bench.
The Bosh to Warriors thing… I don’t think it’ll benefit the long term success of the team because you’re actaully lengthening the bench by at least one player. (NO player on the Warriors can be traded for Bosh straight up) This means that Someone like Sonny Weems, who has shown lots of promise this preseason, has to be put on IR. That sucks because he needs to play to generate any value around the league. If he doesn’t play, he’s just rotting on the bench.

LDB15Participantstephen jackson and biedrins for bosh!!
beidrins and jackson are 2 of the best players the warriors have, recently biedrins i would say is one of the top big men, he’s a monster at getting rebounds.morrow (warriors wouldnt get rid of him i dont think) and randolph would be more reasonible

gatorheelsParticipantThis will never happen. The Warriors won’t trade Randolph. A combo of Randolph & Bosh playing beside each other in the post won’t work. Bad idea all around for both teams.
The only way I could see a trade happening is if the Warriors can get Bosh without giving up Randolph & Biedrins in the process.
Maybe a trade like this:
Golden State gets: Bosh, Jack
Raptors get: Stephen Jackson, Ellis, Brandon Wright, future draft pick
This way Golden State can rotate Bosh & Randolph at PF to play alongside Biedrins. Randolph could also play limited minutes at SF.
But yeah overall I just don’t see a trade going down between these teams.

butidonthavemoneyAnthony Randolph is so overrated it’s not even funny.

tli232He’s just a bigger Tyrus Thomas. You can’t try to build your team to cater to him, at least not at this stage in his career.

sheltwon3ParticipantRandolph is not over rated, this is his second year and he is like 19 or 20 and putting up solid numbers in the preseason and people are saying he is over rated. This is funny to me. People are expecting guys to come and be all stars. Kobe, T-Mac, Jermaine O’neal, Rashard Lewis and the list goes on. None of these players came in and were immediate all stars. Also Randolph is not like Tyrus Thomas. Randolph has the size to be a legit 4 in the league but Tyrus Thomas to me should be a small forward. Tyrus thomas is sort of a Gerald Wallace/Josh Smith type player who has yet to find his niche but when he do he will be alright. People forget that Wallace was around before he started looking good after that move to Charlotte and even then he was limited until he expanded his game. Chris Bosh is not going anywhere. It would be stupid for Bosh to leave the wide open East to go to a West team that could get 40 wins for the next 5 to 6 years and be 9th and 10th in the West. Also every team will looked stacked for now on because it has been ages since and expansion team. There are a least 15 teams right now that are plenty stacked and the other 15 are waiting to lose bad contracts so that they can get stacked after they get the position they need. Also some players are playing longer and young players are coming in ready to play after 2 or 3 years or sooner which means if every year you have 30 players coming in and 30 players are not going out, you will have a surplus of talent especially when you got guys who missed the cut overseas that come over cheaper and more experienced to compete with them. That is why so team are slowly building and stocking talent like OKC is doing now and Boston did earlier until they made those trades to get top vets.

gatorheelsParticipantI’ve seen both Randolph & Tyrus play in person. Randolph definitely isn’t overrated. Everybody will stop saying that after this season.
Between Randolph & Tyrus they have some similarities & differences. Both are athletic & good shot blockers. Tyrus is probably a little more athletic & a better shot blocker. Both need to work on their shooting. The main difference is Randolph can handle the ball better & is a lot better on fast breaks. Both are solid pros & both still have room to let their games fully develop.

IndianaBasketballParticipantAnother huge difference is Randolph is a legit 6′ 10″ and probably still growing. Tyrus Thomas is 6′ 8″ max.

R-Dot-13Participantif we trade him to GS, I want Morrow as part of the return.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/12/2009 - 1:31pm #221130

JNixonParticipantYea Randolph is the real deal, he is very gifted offensively and as soon as he gets stronger and improves his shot (which I’m sure he’ll do in the near future) he’ll be a top 15 player in the NBA. He would be a true matchup nightmare. I’ve said it before, but wait until 2010-2011 and everyone will be in love with Randolph.

butidonthavemoneyI respectfully disagree with the lot of ya. Maybe he will be MIP this season (General consensus among the members of this board). Maybe in a few years he will be one of the best players in this league. However, I just don’t see it.
Bah. Humbug!
