I’LL ADMIT that GREG ODEN was the most hyped big man to come into the league since SHAQ…AND KEVIN DURANT SHATTERED all freshmen records his 1 year at Texas…DURANT IS ON THE VERGE OF BECOMING AN ALLSTAR..ODEN has the potential to be great..IF he stays healthy… some others guys taken in that draft were FERNANDEZ, CONLEY, HORFORD, AARON BROOKS, JEFF GREEN ,NOAH,and THORNTON all are good starters but nobody is comparing them to the 2003 draft of Lebron, Melo ,D-Wade or BOSH…the 1996 draft KOBE,IVERSON, RAY ALLEN,NASH, O’NEAL or Marbury..OR THE 84 DRAFT JORDAN,BARKLEY or OLAJUWON….

Yeah, if you are reffering to my post in the Kenyon Martin area, I just said it was a good draft, especially compared to 2000. I agree with you, it’s a good draft, not a great one.

it was a good draft but lacked depth outside of a few good and great players. Actually this past draft will wind up being better than 2007. 2008 was better than 2007 and people were calling it weak leading up to the draft.

its too soon to tell how good that draft actually was. players are still developing it has a chance to be a pretty good draft. give it a few more years and then make a decision

This was my favorite draft the reason because
    1. Huge Competition for the first pick
    2. K.D and Oden have a chance to change the
    game cuz potential on potential.
Picture Oden Heathy and K.D built
    3. The amount to soild or energy players.
    – Big trades around and in the draft

2007 was a good draft but we can’t put it in the high side of good tell we figure out who owns up to potential

I actually noted all of the quality guys from the 2007 draft and that draft was good at best but it was more hyped than anything.

it is still too early to really know how good the 2007 draft will be.

For example a couple of years after the 1996 draft it had a couple of superstars (Iverson, Marbury) and several all star caliber players (Anotine Walker, Ray Allen, Shareef Abdur Rahim). It took years before players like Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Peja Stojakovic, Jermaine O’Neal, Ben Wallace, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Marcus Camby developed and turned what originally looked like a good draft into a great one.

Yea you have to give the guys more time to prove themselves. This is a draft, guys have to develop because everyone isn’t polished enough to succeed in the pro’s after 1 or even 2 seasons sometimes. This year is the year we see the good players and the pretenders.

are you sure you aren’t mixing it with 2007?…. because i don’t remember people saying it was a good draft it has a few good players.
