pman23ParticipantI think this trade would benefit both sides. Monta Ellis and Stephen Jackson wants to get traded and so does Stoudemire. I think this trade would help both teams out.

torontoraptors10ParticipantWhat would happen to Nash and Ellis? Could they even play together? I don’t think Ellis would want to come off the bench and Nash starts, unless Ellis plays SG. But the Suns have a gap at PF after this trade. I don’t think it would be good for the Suns.

llperezThis trade really comes down to one thing, and that is what Phoenix plans on doing with Amare. If they believe he is a cornerstone of their future and are willing to shell out some big bucks for him, then no deal. If they are not committed to Amare, then pull the trigger.

fastdanParticipantGSW seem pretty high on Randloph, and they like Beidrens and have him locked up for a long time. Amare is an expiring contract. They just signed Ellis last summer. I don’t see this happening at all.

McWinningParticipanti don’t think so you throw two good players for someone who would leave the year after you can get better value.

cryan03ParticipantI just threw it together
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine
Warriors Get: Jermaine O’Neal
Warriors Trade: Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Speedy ClaxtonHeat Get: Monta Ellis, Carlos Boozer
Heat Trade: Jermaine O’NealJazz Get: Stephen Jackson, Speedy Claxton
Jazz Trade: Carlos BoozerBreakdown: Warriors receive a crap load of money expiring after the season and get ride of 2 players who clearly don’t want to be there and then they can forget about the distractions and let the young team they have build a chemistry and grow for the future. The Heat receive a point guard who can play along Wade and hopefully attract Wade to stay and Boozer is the post-prescene they need if they want to be a threat. The Jazz get rid of Boozer who have been a pain in their side this off-season and it can allow Millsap to start and they receive who can help out on the premiter and Claxton who is just 5 million expiring.

sheltwon3Participantcryan, I actually like your trade and you really thought it though. I also think Stephen Jackson could do good in Utah where they always have a playoff team and they need a solid 2 man. Golden State would save a lot of money as well.

nateoak10Participantas a warrior fan im really mad to see everyone thinking that ellis said he wants to be traded. he just said 2 small guards dont work well together. is he wrong? no. hes just being honest and amare said that he has no interest in coming here

unaznizedParticipantthe idea of monta going to phoenix. they already have someone quite similar to him in their team in Leandro Barbosa.
and what would this trade mean for Jason Richardson? who would start between Monta, SJack, or J-Rich? i don’t either one wants to come off the bench. and i know the suns like the play small and run, but parting with amare leaves phoenix with not that many bigs on their team.
and as for GSW, bringing in Amare for one year when they obviously are not in contention would be a silly move. and not only that, but it would stunt the growth of Anthony Randolph.

AlexBoiiParticipantWhat are you trying to say Nateoak? Yeah Ellis he is being honest that him and Curry are not going to work together. So they’re not going to play Curry? Of course they’re going to play him. At this point, Ellis appears to have worn out his welcome.
Cryan, I like your trade idea as well. The only flaw I find is Stephen Jackson to Utah simply because of the depth the Jazz have at the 2 & 3. They have C.J. Miles, Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver, and Andrei Kirilenko. I think if you include Miles (G.S. needs a guard with loss of Jackson/Ellis) going back to G.S. while including Turiaf (Utah needs a big with the Boozer loss) in the package to Utah, then you might have yourself a deal.
Warriors Get: Jermaine O’Neal, C.J. Miles
Warriors Trade: Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Speedy Claxton, Ronny TuriafHeat Get: Monta Ellis, Carlos Boozer
Heat Trade: Jermaine O’NealJazz Get: Stephen Jackson, Speedy Claxton, Ronny Turiaf
Jazz Trade: Carlos Boozer, C.J. Miles0- Posted on: Thu, 10/01/2009 - 8:37pm #218373
nateoak10Participantsorry, but we have no need for oneal anywhere on our team at this point. jackson being traded for someone like that is another story but monta would require more for us to give him up. curry will most likely be his backup for the time being. monta has a 99.99999999999999999999999999% of staying with us so get it out of your head. now if you want stack jack thats a whole nother story. and ronny is also a favorite with the fans and team so he isnt going anywhere

AlexBoiiParticipantOf course from a talent standpoint you don’t need O’Neil. His best days are behind him. But with that said, he’s a big expiring contract (23 Mil). With the young core of Curry, Randolph, and Biedrins this team can really begin to revamp their team with some cap space in the big free agent summer of ’10. I get the fact Turiaf is a fan favorite because of his style. He was a fan favorite in L.A. But with Brandon Wright, Biedrins, and Randolph, there needs to be minutes available. It would not surprise me if Golden State reached a buyout agreement with O’Neil if such a trade were to go down.
But hey, assuming you’re a G.S. fan, have fun with Stephen Jackson and Monta Ellis on your team. Enjoy the team that would be thankful with a .500 record, 63 Mil in team salaries, and reportedly down 100 Mil in franchise value.
