McWinningParticipantid put Blair up there. he should get minutes and be a very good rebounder and decent scorer.

llperezwith rookie teams, I believe they just go 5 best players regardless of positions. So I would take Curry, Thabeet, and Derozan off the first team and add Harden, Flynn, and either Hill or Jenings.

Henry25Participantagreed. No way Thabeet or Curry or Derozan are on the first team. However, Jennings definetley will be 1st ord 2nd team and same with James Harden or Johnny Flynn. People seem to forget that Don Nelson hates playing rookies. U really think Steph Curry will be the exception to that rule???

LazarusMunozParticipantany of these teams…if he gets minutes this year,he could have some big time growing pains! Jennings is almost a lock for second team or better with the way he played in summer league and with Sessions gone(unless he gets put in Scott Skiles doug house)

JoeWolf1Jennings-with Sessions gone he is the guy, I would have had Flynn here, but now Sessions is in his way.
Evans- Gonna get minutes and plenty of stats to go with his growing pains
Harden- very NBA ready, going to be a good 2nd or 3rd scoring punch for OKC
DeRozen- with Anthony Carter in Cleveland, he is gonna get some minutes, and he is a player ready to contribute right away because of his athleticism
Griffin- Easily the most NBA ready of the bunch, could average close to a double double this year, despite LA’s crowded front courtThabeet is a project, he isn’t going to be putting up big numbers and most likely Marc Gasol will be starting over him. In addition, rookie teams are never really that strict on positions, they usually pick the best players. Thabeet, in my opinion, is going to average around 5 ppg 4 rpg and 1.3 bpg. Thats not going to be good enough to get him on the 3rd team, he is going to take a couple years before he is ready to put up bigger numbers.

quincey hodgesi think its next to impossible for curry to make first team. not because he isnt talented enough but do ya’ll realize the guards that are on that roster… you know monta is playing alot of min as well as capt jack. if maggatte is healthy he plays alot as well as azabuki and you know anthony morrow is gonna play. curry just isnt gonna get enough time to be first team even if he starts. and you know rookies are gonna go through growing pains and with those guys waiting in the wings do you really think hes gonna be able to play through all those growing pains? even if hes gonna be playing mostly poitn monta will have the ball in his hands most of the time as well as capt jack
if i had to pick id say
blake
jennings
evans
harden
clarkalso cant say thabeet because hes not gonna start over gasol nor randolph. some of the rookies could be good enough to get first team in a different situation but some wont have the chance because of the guys they are sharing time with. also dont sleep on wayne ellington because hes gonna get plenty of time

youngmagParticipantHe plays for the bucks hes going to be able to do all he wants to and you seen him during the summer league he was tearing rookies apart come on. Feel bad for Flynn he won’t do as much as he was going to before Minny signed Sessions but heres my NBA All Rookie teams. Derozan is starting Anthony Parker left. Stephen is starting they refused to put him in trade talks for Amare what makes you think he isn’t going to start? steph and Monte will be the Warriors back court for years to come unless Monte keeps actin like a baby. Henderson,Jrue Holiday, n Taj Gibson won’t even be close to making 3rd team. Earl Clark aint contributing this season I’m sorry. Thabeet will not see minutes not with the big men that the Grizzlies have. Hansborough nah unless Hibbert just doesn’t step his game up cuz Troy Murphy did pretty good last year at the 4 spot.

quincey hodgesjordan hill?..hes playing behind lee and al harrington and curry and darko and jefferies
0 - Posted on: Sun, 09/20/2009 - 12:23pm #214262
youngmagParticipantThats why I put him in the second team hes going to get a lot of playing time off the fact that they have no bigs on the NY bench
0 - Posted on: Sun, 09/20/2009 - 2:32pm #214334
quincey hodgesbut hes gonna get less time then most rookies..you know david lee is gonna play 35 plus min..the same with harrington then wit the centers its curry and darko. jefferies right now is even better then hill. so that leaves hill as third string..how many min do you think third string guys get?..im not saying hes not good( although im not sold on him yet) im saying its a numbers game

marcusfizer21ParticipantThere is NO third team in an All-Rookie team… Unless if you’re making a league on your own dude…
