RickyRubio9ParticipantIt’d end way too fast, NBA has 16 Teams. NCAA has 64 Teams. Then again, my Rockets beat the Blazers in the 1st game and the Lakers, heck we’d be in WCF if it was this way. haha Pretty cool

Bryant24Participanti think players will play with more intensity and care about every game and i would’nt mind if that happen but it wont because the nba is a business first they make so much money in the playoffs for every game they wouldnt their do that players think we lost that game we get them two more days rather than go ahead and get the sweep this why jordan is the greatest player of all time jordan never overlooked an oppopent and he played every game like its his last in his playoff career when he was winning titles he never went to a seven game series because he played his butt off every game

llperezI wouldn’t want it. It makes sense for NCAA because there are more teams and it adds to the excitement. Plus the kids still have classes and can’t play every other day for two months. But in the NBA, how is less basketball an improvement? Plus, don’t we want to know for sure who is the best team, and not just lucky.

MkadozaParticipantA single elimination tournament would be disastrous for the NBA. In college, the difference between the top college programs and the next echelon is so much more pronounced. At the NBA level, any team in the playoff can beat any other team, and a first game upset equaling elimination would be a travesty. I love that the NBA gives 7 games to determine whose the best because fluke wins can be overcome while at the same time being very important. It allows series to take on a life of their own and lets the matchups evolve. Seeing how each player and each team responds from game to game is not only fascinating, but is vital for getting championship experience, especially for teams like the Cavs, the Nuggets, and the Blazers.
