SupParticipantLenny Cooke was Lebron with a better handle and shooting stroke. Politics as usual NY players getting hated on.

Henry25Participantpeople thought lenny cooke was gonna be great, but he bought into his own hype, never went to class, and stopped improving his game. He got into a pretty bad car accident a few years ago, but now i think he is back to playing pro ball in the minor leagues

D HampParticipantWhy Omar bought into the hype I’ll never know. He’ll tell you he bought into the hype. He has sooo much swagger. He was always the best player on the court. And why he didn’t get a tryout after leading the D-League in steals and assists in 04-05 is one of the biggest NBA mysteries ever.

D HampParticipantI felt so bad for Omar. He was second in the nation behind DOUG GOTTLIEB (?I think) in assist his freshman year. Everyone told him to stay and work on his jumpshot (36% shooting). He had all of the essentials; except the jumpshot. It just hurts to re-live this. Man, this kid could play. He wanted sooo much to be like Erick Barkely. Now they have all of the time in the world to hang out. Why won’t the people listen. You watch Omar and you just now he was so close. A 6 foot 1 version of Jason Kidd. We keep reverting back to his jumpshot. He was really, really, good.
