OldSkoolBasketballParticipantWhy would Durant play the 4? He will get dominated in the paint even if he gained weight.

DeAndreParticipantI dont think he means only power forwards
these are all just thin players0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/23/2009 - 2:46pm #204976

JNixonParticipantAnthony Randolph has gotten bigger from what I saw in summer league, probably by about 10-15 lbs. He looks more toned up top.
Javale McGee also got bigger by about 10 lbs from what I saw in SL. He looks like he’s been workking on his lower body though (which is the most important area for a big man)

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI know these are all thin players but he is wondering is Durant big enough yet to play the 4 someday.

DoubleNickelsDurr55ParticipantDurant is and will/should always be a 3 that position he can play and dominate. Wouldnt hurt to gain more weight to play the 3. He is also an all star (not now but will be) and going to be one of the faces of league for years to come. As a 6’7” 215 lb man myself it is good to see the thin guys doing work. Oh and what about hollins? he has hops but could stand to put on some weight to actually make an impact in the league. Right now energetic big off the bench, not a bad thing to have. thoughts?

shipargosParticipantI am particulary intrigued by Ajinca, because he is the only one whos success or not is still a mystery, the other guys will do fine. Hope he is eating an ox for dinner.

SpencerIsHawesomeKevin Martin is crazy skinny.. the dude is 6’7 and is listed at 185, probably skinnier than that.

jayalldayParticipantSome players well always be long and lanky regardless of what they do. For example KG, Keon Clark, T-Mac, Camby.

marcusfizer21ParticipantTayshaun Prince is skinny, too… But his length has always been an asset in defense… Just ask Reggie Miller..

JoeWolf1A player can be thin, but strong as well, former UNC Forward Danny Green is listed at 6’7” 205 and benched the combine weight of 185 pounds 14 times compared to Kevin Durant who is 6’9” 215 who coming out of college was not able to do it once. Adding weight can always help out in basketball when it comes to getting position and boxing out, but not every player who looks thin in the NBA is weak.
