JoeWolf1Espn has reported Iverson has some interest in returning to Philly. Of all the possible Iverson scenarios i’ve heard this one kinda makes sense. Louis Williams isn’t quite ready to be a starting NBA point guard, but with Iverson at the 2 he could take the pressure off Williams as the primary playmaker(I think Iverson is still capable of averaging 6 apg or so at the sg). He would help replace the loss of Andre Miller without having to rely to much on 19 year old rookie JaRue Holiday. I think this would be a good move for Philly and take them from a sure fire lottery pick to a potential playoff team or atleast in the mix if Elton Brand comes back heathy.I know its a rumor, but is it a good move for Philly to purse Iverson?

j1232eParticipantI think it would be a great move by the 6ers. Brand and Iggy would benifit allot with iverson pushing the ball.

trojans13Participanti hate to say this, but iverson just needs to go to a bad team where he can shoot a lot, score points, and maybe put people in the stands. if i was 76ers management, i would want no part of this. this has become Iggy’s team and bringing the original AI back would only cause problems. Plus, you dont want AI’s attitude about practice rubbing off on guys like Speights, Holliday, and TYoung, guys who they view as potential cornerstones for the franchise. They need to keep moving forward and not take a few steps back by signing iverson

trojans13Participantnot saying that i necessarily agree that iggy is a franchise player, just saying that its pretty clear that the 76ers have deemed him there franchise player along with elton brand

doubledribblerParticipantDidn’t they already do this before? Do you really want to do Iverson part two? If I remember correctly, they actually played better once he was traded. Besides wouldn’t signing Iverson make the Brand signing even worse? It’s pointless to have a low post presence that never gets the ball. It’s bad enough he’s on a running team and he cannot run.

McWinningParticipanti dont like it when Iverson was with Philly the reason there was defensive specialists that madep for his weak defense now their a much weaker defensive team which would make things worse.

McWinningParticipantyeah bt they to have Snow, Bell, and Mutumbo who were three amazing defenders and snow was a good compliment to Iverson.

marcusfizer21ParticipantI think this is a huge possibility for the team to bring back AI since they needed a certain player that can take pressure off of Lou and Iggy… But then again, there are also points about lack of focus and dedication in practice that could hinder Thaddeus and Marresse in their potential development… Even though this is just a rumor or talk, it definitely caught my attention. A homecoming for Iverson will be sweet but then again, there may be too many risks to pay for it…
