OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantThere’s 5 seconds left, and you’re down by one. Which of these 2008 draftees would you want to have the ball?
O.J. Mayo
Eric Gordon
Brook LopezI know there are other guys (Beasley, Rose, Westbrook), but I wanted to make this more of a challenge.

R-Dot-13ParticipantEric Gordon

IndianaBasketballParticipantIf I wanted a player to create off the dribble, I’m going with Mayo… Based on who you gave me to choose from. I’d run a play for EJ in a catch and shoot/dribble drive situation, but Mayo would be better creating a shot for himself or others.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI didn’t forget about Anthony Randolph, I just didn’t mention him. This is based on last year’s production, not next year’s predictions. He’s definitely a guy to watch out for, though.

Michael.S.ParticipantHmmmm 5 seconds? O.J. Mayo because he is better creating and finishing at the rim or shoooting over people.

llperezin those situations, ball handling and ability to hit tough shots are the most important things, and Mayo has those skills over Brook and Gordon.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI expected alot of people to debate over O.J. or Gordon. I guess I was wrong.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantHow about Rose instead of Gordon?

Henry25ParticipantI’m a huge Mayo fan and think he will maybe challenge Rose and Beasley for best player of this class. I just wish he would be switched to Point guard. He was a point in high school and was the number 1 recruit. Anyways back to the question it has to be Mayo, superior ball handler, passer, and just as good of a shooter as Gordon in my opinion, he just didnt get as many open looks as Gordon did last year

Anton123ParticipantIf it’s 3 secs to go, I go for Gordon, he is a better catch and shoot player with a great jumpshot, I think he is a better clutch player than Mayo too
Though Mayo is better all around0 - Posted on: Wed, 08/19/2009 - 3:44am #202670

Chicago1980ParticipantI say OJ he looks like the type of clutch player that wants to hit those types of shots I dont remember if he hit any game winners last year but I remember watching a game where he went off in the 4th quater and got them back in the game I also think they won that game.
