If the Knicks can somehow trade Jeffries…that would be huge….IF they could trade Jeffereis & Curry that would be HUGE.

They are trying to pair Jefferies contract with Mobley since Mobley is insured for about 7 mil. Which is almost all of what Jefferies is making next year. They need to find a team that wants to save 7mil next year (maybe more if they are over the luxury cap)and be able to trade away 16 mil worth of contracts for next year. Tough task. I know washington wanted to bring back Jefferies early in the off season, but not sure if there are still interested.

As far as the cap for next year, sure it would be great if the cap doesn’t go down and they have more money available but unless they were able to sign Wade and LeBron, no others players are really worth max money.

Bosh, Stoudermire, Johnson, Boozer all great players. But not franchise players that can carry a team. I do think Bosh and Amere will get max though.

The Knicks might be able to Dump Jefferies and Mobley to the Jazz for Boozer and his expiring contract if things aren’t looking good for them at the trade deadline as the Jazz really want to get under the luxury tax. It’d be a huge hit for them talent wise though so it would probably only happen if the season wasn’t going well for them.
