DWadeBIWParticipantCeltics re-sign backup forward Davis to deal
http://www.nba.com/2009/news/08/10/081009davis.resign.ap/How do you feel on how the Celtics are handling things this off-season??

gatorheelsParticipantThey had a strong offseason. They have lots of depth in the post now. However, they need to get another SF like Marquis Daniels. Also they need a backup PG. I’m not sure why they let Pruitt go. I wouldn’t want Hudson being the backup PG as a rookie…I doubt he is ready for that yet. They should add Bowen too….he can still play solid D & will likely be cheap.

MagikKnickParticipantSheed, Big Baby, Williams, maybe Daniels
I like what they’ve been doing, if the big 3 can stay healthy come playoff time I can see them going to the finals

I say that because, someone can disagree with me…but just letting you know thats MY opinion&Yeah, I just think whoever wins the Spurs/Lakers matchup (assuming they face of in the western finals) will win the NBA championship

BadBoysParticipantGood pick ups. I didnt like how Ainge put Rondo out there on the trading block. Could cause some contention.

doubledribblerParticipantI think they are handling things as well as they can. Their moves are all made towards winning right now. The whole Rondo thing was crazy, but who knows what that was about. Similar stuff happened to him when he was at UK. I think Daniels will probably end up being the main ball handler for the 2nd unit. I agree that they need another guy like Daniels, but probably someone that is a better shooter. They just locked up Big Baby for super cheap which was genius. They are keeping KG and Peirce happy…both of those guys are retiring Celtics. I agree with Gatorhills that they should go after Bowen though. I think they should consider trying to trade for Posey. They have two expiring deals in Tony Allen and Scalibrine that might be able to pass off for a good player. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t try to sign Ray Allen after this year. I had heard rumors awhile ago saying he was wanting an extension. That’s a max contract that they can use to sign someone from the 2010 free agent class. That’s not even counting that they are probably going to pick up a good player in the middle of the year that gets bought out.
I honestly believe their are only 4 contenders next year in the whole league and if Boston is healthy I don’t see Orlando beating them.
