If you were an NBA GM and your goal was to win it all in 5 years, out of these player combos, who would you take, and why (optional).

    1. Dwight Howard or Kevin Durant
    2. Pau Gasol or Al Jefferson
    3. Andrew Bynum or Blake Griffin
    4. Russel Westbrook or OJ Mayo or Eric Gordon
    5. Lebron James or (Kobe Bryant and Jason Kidd)
    6. Ben Wallace or Reggie Evans
    7. Anderson Varajao or Chris “Birdman” Andersen
    8. Chris Paul or Deron Williams or Derrick Rose
    9. Lamar Odom or Anthony Randolph
    10. Steph Curry or Michael Redd
    11. Eddy Curry or Stephon Marbury
    12. Vince Carter or Hedo Turkoglu
    13. Jose Calderon or TJ Ford
    14. Monta Ellis or Jason Terry
    15. Josh Howard or Jeff Green

    17. Hasheen Thabeet or Kwame Brown
    18. Kevin Martin or Ben Gordon
    19. Andre Iguadala or Thadeus Young

Remember, you’re taking these players as they are right now and factoring in how they can help your team in the next 5 years. Have fun!

      Pick one from each combo.

And I put Kidd and Kobe together BECAUSE they’re both older. Do you think them together for a few years (personally I think they’ll both be around for 5 years though, just with reduced roles) is worth more than Lebron alone for 5?

Why did you put Kobe and Kidd with Lebron there both over 30 and might not even be playing in the NBA then?

    1. Dwight Howard – DPOY .
    2. Pau Gasol- He can hit the mid range jumper and lead a fast break……pretty good for a 7 footer
    3. Andrew Bynum- Blake still doesn’t have a 40 point game or any points to his resume so bynum gets the nod
4.OJ Mayo- Can score at will. I see glimpses of kobe
    5. Kobe Bryant – Accomplished feats nobody has come close to and is a true leader
    6. Reggie Evans- Always down and dirty…..with minutes he can really be a great rebounder
    7. Chris “Birdman” Andersen- Straight up energy, also an amazing blocker
    8. Deron Williams- He has something both these players don’t have a shot
    9. Lamar Odom – Has proved more then Randolph
    10. Michael Redd- He is perfect size for a shooting guard, and drive in better then curry
    11. Stephon Marbury- won’t pick both of them, but with eddy’s heart condition, marbury will actually be worth the money
    12. Hedo Turkoglu- Can play 3 different positions, and can lead a team
    13. Jose Calderon- reality point guard……Great Play Making with Few turnovers
    14. Monta Ellis – very athletic, can drive in and shoot……pretty good 2 guard
    15. Jeff Green- Knows his role, and is perfect at it…….rising young star
    16. Brandon Jennings- From what ive seen in summer league he will be a double double man
    17. Hasheen Thabeet – Kwame has no hope……thabeet does
    18. Kevin Martin – pretty consistent…..inuries bug can hurt him though
    19. Andre Iguadala – tremendous athlete, can defend and shoots a good percentage
    20. Allen Iverson – Can score and assist at will

    1. Dwight Howard or Kevin Durant- Gotta go with the big man. Howard

    2. Pau Gasol or Al Jefferson- Pau Gasoft, I mean Gasol. Haha.

    3. Andrew Bynum or Blake Griffin- Tough one, but I’ll go with Bynum. He has alot of talent on offense, and he’s a beast rebounder. If he stops fouling on D, were talking about a top 3 center.

    4. Russel Westbrook or OJ Mayo or Eric Gordon- I like Mayo here

    5. Lebron James or (Kobe Bryant and Jason Kidd)-Kobe and Kidd.

    6. Ben Wallace or Reggie Evans- Reggie Evans. He can be an energy player in any system, while Wallace only could do it in Detroit.

    7. Anderson Varajao or Chris “Birdman” Andersen- Varajao. Better on ball defender and offensive player. And rebounder.

    8. Chris Paul or Deron Williams or Derrick Rose- CP3. Plain and simple.

    9. Lamar Odom or Anthony Randolph- Odom. More versatile skill set.

    10. Steph Curry or Michael Redd- Michael Redd. Better size. Not a tweener.

    11. Eddy Curry or Stephon Marbury- Eddy Curry.

    12. Vince Carter or Hedo Turkoglu- Vince Carter

    13. Jose Calderon or TJ Ford- Calderon. Is a good passer who takes care of the ball and can hit shots.

    14. Monta Ellis or Jason Terry- Jason Terry. Better defender.

    15. Josh Howard or Jeff Green- Jeff Green. Howard settles too much for my liking.

    16. Ricky Rubio or Johnny Flynn or Brandon Jennings- Brandon Jennings.

    17. Hasheen Thabeet or Kwame Brown- Haha. Thabeet. More of a presence on D.

    18. Kevin Martin or Ben Gordon- ooohhh…tough one. I’d go with Gordon. He stays healty usually.

    19. Andre Iguadala or Thadeus Young- Lol! ANDRE IGUODALA! Past, present, and future! haha

    20. Allen Iverson or Ramon Sessions- Sessions. Better passer. A triple double threat every night.
