Was this a better move than signing a Marbury/Iverson?

GoodbyeChandlerParticipanthe is just another talent who was not taught the meaning of hard work. i mean most guys just see the nba as 82 games of basketball. but its actually a six month season and 1 year of getting better.

gatorheelsParticipantYes, this was a much better move than signing Marbury or Iverson. Williams is a great backup who will make Conley work a lot harder in practice. Wiliams is a solid PG he just hasn’t found the right fit yet teamwise….maybe Memphis is the right place for him.

Knicksboy34ParticipantI think he needs to realize…this is his last chance man. He has a legit shot to take the Starting job from Conley. He needs to come back and be a monster this season and literary force Memphis to start him or it will be another sad story.

gatorheelsParticipantIt is hard to really judge players from summer league games but from what I saw of Marcus in summer league was very impressive. He looked like he could definitely seriously contend with Conley for the starting job.

JNixonParticipantHe’s definitely a good change-of-pace from Conley

sheltwon3ParticipantI like this move but he is not taking the spot from Conley. Conley has found his niche as a player and Conley is a better all around player but Marcus is a better passer/playmaker.

marcusfizer21ParticipantI love Marcus Williams… The moment he entered in New Jersey, I thought he could have been the perfect back-up PG that they have been searching for for Kidd… He just didn’t cut out in the end despite having a solid season… When he moved to GSW, I thought it’s a fresh start but the next thing I know he is sitting at the end of the bench never got the chance to play quality minutes… and then the so-called coach of the Warriors decided to cut him because he wasn’t the right “fit” for the team… This is his last chance… It’s a young team, he’s a young kid… He’s got a lot to prove… and I hope that he could finally have the story that everyone will be talking about in years to come… A lost kid finally finding his niche…
