To me, his best asset is his mid-range game… he’s definitely the craftiest of the slashers people have mentioned. While most of those other guys rely on athleticism to get to the rack, Pierce has a counter for anything you throw at him… He only really ‘slashes’ if you’re in his grill and aren’t giving him his mid-range. Otherwise, he doesn’t really have the quickness to get around you so he’ll just give you a little misdirection/jab and knock down the mid-range

yea, me neither. He gets a lot of those free throws off of initiating the contact entirely by himself and pumpfakes… he’s also one of the guys who should be mentioned as having a REALLY high IQ. I think he is definitely one of the top 5 slashers. He gets a lot of free throws of pump fakes, but he also gets a lot of and-1s at the rim. He gets by a lot of defenders.

to me, he only gets to the rack cuz you have to take away his mid-range… also because he can drive with the left and the right…

during the playoffs pierce looked really slow

you don’t have to be considered a “slasher” to get to the line….i wish dude would have finished Pierce off 10 years ago, how can you stab someone 15 times and not kill them

I’m gonna have to look into that most ft’s attempted and made in a season. Those unmbers seem too low. I would think would have the most attempted. 812 would be less then 10 per game if you played all 82 games, and I know plenty of guys have finished season with more then10 per game. Maybe I’m wrong though.

I sort of agree with Deuce, but most of that shit is messed up man. I agree that getting to the line doesn’t always mean you are a slasher but most of the time it does. I would not have him in my top 10.
