Franchise player!

He will never be as good as lebron and kobe…….but might lead his team to the playoffs, but the team needs to give him better players…..im not racist but they got too much white guys that are unathletic

I do believe he is a franchise type player. No I do not think he is in the same discussion, nor will he ever be, with Kobe and LeBron. As for playoff success, who knows. There are so many other things that go into that that are out of his hands.

personally i think he is a great sidkick, but in Indy this year his stats were bloated becuase he was playing on a 2001 Iverson type squad, but slightly better

he’s what i always hoped rashard lewis would become. I think grainger is a better #2 option than 1 though…

If your not racist, then why don’t you just say the Indiana Pacers are not athletic? Murphy and Dunleavy are the teams second two best players and Foster and McRoberts are actually both very athletic, more so then Rush or Hibbert.

Murphy is the best rebounder on that team, you don’t get double digit rebounds by being a poor athlete. And McRoberts played PG in college at some points, he is pretty athletic too.

Mcroberts Is Probably the only guy that is athletic……..and im pretty sure hibbert is more athletic then diener that guy shouldn’t even have a roster spot

rebounding is just as much about positioning and anticipating where the ball is going to come off as it is about being athletic. troy murphy is not an above average athlete from what i’ve seen

roy hibbert is not athletic. lol he moves like a mechanical dinosaur. he is coordinated for someone his size, i’ll give him that.

I was’nt trying to jump on your case, I’ve just seen a couple Bird is a racist arguments before, and I think they are silly. Bird drafted Rush and Hibbert last year and nothing is said. He drafts Hansbrough this year, and he likes white guys. He signs Watson and Dahntay Jones this summer while letting Rasho walk, and he get’s called out for having Diener on the team becuase he likes white guys.

Truth is, the Pacers are not very athletic as a team, but Dunleavy was playing great 2 seasons ago and was putting up like 19-5-5 before he got injured last season. Murphy, stepped up big time and has enough tools to counter his supposed lack of athleticism. Those guys should not be signaled out as the problems for the Pacers. Injuries and inconsistent pg play from guys like Ford, Jack and Tinsley is as much if not more to blame then having a bunch of unathletic white guys.

Pacers lack a bench and thats why they are not going to make any noise, and since they didn’t get marquis daniels or jarret jack this will hurt them.

I never said you called him racist, but I have read 3 other threads that did which is why I said I get tired of reading about how Bird likes to put together a white team. And your comment that the Pacers struggle because they have too many white players that are unatheltic fits right into that same category. The Pacers also did not have their second best player last year in Dunleavy. Granger played with an injury from the all-star game on. And TJ Ford is far from consistent. Just because you average 15 points, does not make you consistent. He looks like a star one night and a bench player the next that is why he has been on 3 teams the last couple seasons and has to fight for starting minutes.

They do have a lot of unathletic players on their teams both white and black. They also have to many white players that are generally role type players and not stars. This are true statements. Danny Granger is just an average athlete as is Hibbett who is too slow. Foster is a pretty decent athlete but can not do much else. Dunleavy is nice when healthy but in no way is he more athletic than Rush. That made me laugh. Also I have seen them play not in real life but on tv and only Rush, Foster, and TJ look like above average athletes. They do have dahntay Jones now though. The Allen Iverson situation comparison was dead on except Indiana has more talent but no explosive type score like AI and they dont know what Identiy they are. Everyone knew what Philly’s identity was under Larry Brown. Larry Brown is white and I gurantee he could win again in Indiana but he would trade some of those white players or unathletic players off for some more athletes.
