I don’t see the Pistons trading Hamilton. I think they like having BG coming off the bench, and that gives them 2 legitimate scorers on the court at all times.

they have Nazr Mohommad. bad idea though for the Bobcats they dont need another scorer that badly they already barely have enough big men.

Regardless, I think you have to trade either ben or rip. There is too much money invested in one position there. Rip can play heavy minutes and so can ben. Personally I would rather keep Rip and trade Gordon but I can’t really see that happening since the Pistons just signed Ben.

I think having an offensive spark off the bench is one of the biggest keys to being successful in the NBA… I’d love to see teams try and stop Stuck-BG-Hamilton in the final minute of a game. That’s just too much to try and stop

Charlotte gets: Rip Hamilton

Obviously Charlotte gets the scorer they need. Detroit gets another big post player which they need & Bell has an expiring contract so this deal saves them some cash.

Good idea, and MJ would probably do it. Chandler is horrible for them, and the Pistons need a Center all they have is Kwame Brown, yikes! I would take anybody over him. The pistons have talked about trading Rip for a Center so it could happen, although I don’t see Diaw starting as the center, he is only 6’9 that’s pretty small for a center, he is more of a Power forward than a center. But then again who do the Bobcats have that could play Center? Both May and Okafor are gone, and without Chandler is there anyone left?

He loved Rip so much that he traded him to Detroit in the first place for an aging Jerry Stackhouse. I could see Charlotte benefiting from Rips presence, but I do not think it will be because of MJ’s love for Rip. I mean, yes he was not technically the GM of Washington, but we know who was pulling those strings. That and I think Larry Brown loves Raja Bell and that if they traded Chandler they would be even more devoid of size than they already are. No doubt Rip could benefit the team, and I am sure Larry loves him as he was the leading scorer on the ’04 Pistons championship squad and just works his ass off, but I do not see him going to Charlotte.

actually, Gordon signed knowing he would come off the bench. He’s publicly said so, and the pistons reporters have written it many times. it confused me, cause he wanted to start in chicago, but i guess he wants to get on everyone’s good side before he demands to start. and sources close to JoeD said he is not shopping RIP, only listening to ofers like he always does.

Why not throw in Raja for Kwame then…if CHA is getting Rip they’ll have no need for Raja cuz Henderson is the backup 2, plus its a harmless trade they both expire at the end of the year.

Rip would be great help for Gerald Wallace, and Tyson would be great for Detroit…I said they should’ve traded Rip to NO for Tyson(before he was shipped to CHA).
