SDEParticipantIt has to be Rondo LOL cause everybody on this site say that the best have won a championship so what other Young PG has one beside rondo, i can only think parker but he’s not better than rondo
1Rondo-has great team and runs the show already have a ring with another possible
2DWill- needs to get more help
3CP3-Chandlers gone no more ally oops assists;needs to get traded asap would be best if on better team say Cavs or Heat or Blazers
4Rose-gifted but too many young PGs already ahead of him plus more coming Jwall, Bknight
5Parker-hes fifth cause duncan is old now more of a scorer than passer nowAnd believe it or not rondo is best cause you cannot win a championship with scoring PG and rondo the only true pg on this list

D_LegendParticipantDid you say Rondo is the only TRUE pg on that list…..smh….. Ok rondo is not better then CP3, DWill, or Rose as we saw when they went head to head during the last playoffs. I actually dont think Rondo is better then Tony Parker yet either, Dont overrate him because he won a ring, because you can sub him with alot of other pg’s in the league and im pretty sure they would have still won that ring

McWinningParticipantyou could possible say Rondo is better than Rose, but when you put him above Paul (as good of defense as Rondo, has a legit 3 point shot, a better team leader, the best point guard in the game) that is messed up.

dolla130ParticipantWell off sure potential derrick rose is the best young pg also tony parker isn’t that young and j wall and b knight don’t have that it factor derrick rose has but we will see how good they really are once they get to college
but in order it would be
1.Chris Pual ..the best pg in the NBA hands down
2.D. Will .. more of a baron davis type pg
3.D.rose.. a combination of the two above him just 100x more explosive and athletic
4.rondo.. the best defender out of all the 5 and a proven winner in the NBA
5.Devin Harris.. lighting quick and a above average scorer0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/04/2009 - 4:17am #195591

D_LegendParticipantI agree with dolla’s list

BadBoysParticipantI would also keep on eye on Stuckey. Not as true a PG as some of the names mentioned here but learning the position and should grow a lot more with Billups and Iverson not there to start the season. Averaged 14ppg 3.5 rpg and 5 apg last year. Also he is only 23 years old.
Parker now 27 years old so he is in his prime right now.
1) Paul
2) Williams
3) Rose
4) Rondo
5) Harris0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/04/2009 - 4:47am #195597

Im Your FatherParticipantHow can he be “more of a “Baron Davis” or a combo-guard? He is without a doubt a true point guard and one of the best point guards in the NBA. What does he do that makes him not a true 1? He probably runs the pick and roll better than any player in the NBA.

Knicksboy34ParticipantI like Rondo and I think he is better then Rose but he’s not the best PG in the NBA

BasketballGuru24ParticipantDerick Rose is being credited for me then he did…….You are given better players a back seat to this guy
he only averaged 16pts and 6 ast……thats good for a rookie but you can’t proclaim this guy better then parker and devin harris and even rondo.Rose averages practically 3 turnovers per game, and has a bad shooting percentage
This is my list
1) CP3- makes everyone better, and when they can’t finish he does
2) D-Will- Has a Killer shot, with a killer crossover, and can maintain to average 10 ast
3)Tony Parker- Best Scoring Point guard in the league
4) Devin Harris- Leader of a team , and shows it by averaging insane numbers
5) Rajon Rondo- Triple Double Beast, and a great defender
6) Derick Rose- Yes This Is Were i place him0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/04/2009 - 4:57am #195605

Knicksboy34ParticipantWell here’s my list
1)Deron Williams- I feel he is the best point and his numbers are in CP3 range
2)Chris Paul- He is the fastest PG and many people see him as the next Isash
3)Rajon Rondo- with a jumpshot- Best PG in the East
4)Tony Parker- Kills in the post, underrated passer
5) Devin Harrs- scoring point, bad shooter and average playmaker
6)Derrick Rose- Rookie, average playmaker, below average defender.0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/04/2009 - 5:03am #195610

R-Dot-13Participant1. CP3
2. Rondo
3. D-Will
4. Harris
5. Parker
6. Westbrook
7. RoseYes, Westbrook > Rose.

Knicksboy34ParticipantJust My Opinion, take it anyway you want, I rather have Rondo.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/04/2009 - 5:39am #195642
BasketballGuru24ParticipantI Agree With Gatorheels…….Parker is 3rd best point guard, and the best scoring point guard in the league
0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/04/2009 - 6:51am #195683
baller03Chris Paul is better than Deron Williams, hands down.

JNixonParticipantThe best young PG is Chris Paul. Point blank period.
Derrick Rose isnt better than Rondo. What does he do better? Except shoot better (which he did worse than Rondo at statistically).
Russell Westbrook isnt better than Rose. What does he do better, besides defend? He also isnt the passer Rose is, and he doesnt have a mid-range game, while Rose does (even though its pretty raw).
Tony Parker is better than Rondo, I’d say. Its pretty close, but Parker is the guy I’d rather have (even though he isnt the passer or defender Rondo is). He breaks down the D,creates his own shots, and finishes better. He also is the better scorer by a pretty big difference. Its closer than you’d think, because Parker doesnt do alot of things better than Rondo actually.
Deron Williams is definitely the 2nd best because he isnt bad at any aspect of the game, but he doesnt stand out on D and is a average/below average shooter on 3’s.

bluedevils12Participanti come for it everytime. but anyway jus a few things. Deron williams is the best point guard in the nba right now. Chris paul is good but i cant possibly call a guy who gets torched by bigger point guards for like 30 the best pg in the game. also ppl are overrating derrick rose right now. as of last season he was very good but he doesnt deserve to be placed above players who have been playing well for many years. another thing cp3 is not the fastest pg in the nba knicksboy. Devin harris is the fastest. ask anyone in the nba. or u could jus watch the show they had about the all star game and the players will talk about the end to end race they all had and how devin blew everyone out of the arena

Im Your FatherParticipantIgudala9 you called him a average/below average 3-point shooter. I would disagree, I think he is an above average 3-point shooter and a better 3 point shooter than Paul. While Williams didn’t shoot well this past season, you have to keep in mind that he was playing with an injured ankle much of the year, which can dramatically effect a jumpshot. For his career, he is shooting a better percentage from 3 than Chris Paul, with a higher number of attempts.

STEVEDOT2ParticipantLEAD HIS TEAM TO THE PLAYOFFS HIS ROOKIE YEAR TOOK HOME ROOKIE OF THE YEAR AS A POINTGAURD RONDO HASNT LEAD HIS TEAM ANYWHERE HE HAS A RING BECAUSE HE HAD 3 HALL OF FAMERS IN HIS STARTING LINE UP PUT ANY GOOD PONT GAURD IN THAT SITUATION PUT CHRIS PAUL DERON WILLAMS IN THAT SITUATION THE CELTIC MIGHT HAVE 2 RINGS ALREADY
ROSE HAS BETTER CAREER NUMBERS THEN RONDO ALSO EVEN AFTER 1 SEASON NEXT YEAR ROSE WILL HAVE EVEN BETTER NUMBERS THEN RONDO HAD IN HIS SECOND SEASON PLUS BETTER CAREER NUMBERS
