    that Aran hosts a nbadraft.net fantasy draft, where he picks 10 members of his choice (hopefully the 10 best members). I think it would be exciting to watch, and allows bragging rights for the winner, and maybe even be given the title of “King of NBAdraft.net”. Now I know there are a lot of great minds here, and I for one want to see who has the superior knowledge. I think it could be exciting, with public access from all members as “spectators”. If it’s exciting enough, it could even be done annually, where a different King(or Queen I guess) is crowned every year. Just an idea.

    Ya I think there are at least 10 posters(including you two) that could claim to be the smartest on the site, and have a solid argument to back it up. I just wanna settle it, and see who it is year in and year out.

    I think it should be a format, where the top 3 get a guaranteed spot in the next years draft, while the other 7 spots are earned, and chosen by Aran. I also believe, that if a poster chosen cannot do it for whatever reason, they get to choose their replacement. Standard week by week match up rotisserie, with standard 9 cats. Something classic…

    Also, positions include PG, SG, G(either of), SF, PF, F, C, C (i dunno, maybe one center, but I think there are enough centers in the league for 20 roster spots) and then 5-6 bench spots, possibly 2-3 utility starting spots. What yall think?

    I agree with the idea, but alot of winning in fantasy isnt exactly knowing the most, as much as it is getting lucky with your lineups. I know there is a great amout of thought that can be wasted on picking your team for the week but in reality, you have to be lucky. We dont want to know who the luckiest guy here is, we want to know the smartest, well I guess we do. Anyway, this would be a great idea as long as the winner got something for winning. Maybe the oppurtunity to write an article for the website??? That would be awesome to me. But I would like to be involoved even though I feel like I would be on the outside looking in.

    JHong- maybe you can get this fantasy league set up then you can invite the people on this site that you want to join. Maybe do a league on espn or whatever fantasy site you prefer then you can post the results on here when everything is over.

    yessss, very nice idea, I prefer yahoo fantasy, I dunno why, its what I always use. Please, reply in this post in the reason why you should be in this fantasy draft (taking 10 players). Since there is still plenty of time til the season starts, I propose a voting system (yes I know this didn’t work before, but I will be closing the vote Sept 1st midnight). Now, I do not think I am worthy of this league, so hopefully, there is a Commissioner option in Yahoo where I can host a draft, if not I will explain to one of the ten, although I believe you all probably already know. So please, reply to this post as to why you should be in it as a “tryout” that will close in a week (aug 9) which should be plenty of time to prove your case. Then on aug 9, I will introduce the candidates, and from then on to Sept 1st, we vote. 1 vote per person. Submitting a reasonable reason will all but guarantee you a spot in balloting, but keep in mind, you want to convince the voters, so it might be good to go above and beyond in your explanation. I think this will be some healthy fun competition for this site, and if all goes well, I will try to host it annually, so please, any douches out there, do not mess it up for the deserving people. Thank you. So from now on until Aug 9, submit why you should be allowed in the balloting. I will work very hard to make this work. Also, Aran, I will give you the pleasure of guaranteeing someone’s place in the draft, whether it be you, or someone else, for giving us such a great website.

    i like yahoo fantasy too, i have an account on it, and i usually have like 2-3 teams for every sport each year (basketball , baseball, football, hockey)
    and if everyone wants to have a chance to play fantasy, maybe we could have more than 1 league?
    just a possibility
