I was wonderin’, What if Odom ended up returning to the Heat, would they be willing to give up Beasley for Booze. I don’t see Booze going to Miami unless that happens. The Jazz may want salary cap relief, but they are not looking for just a bunch of expiring contracts, so that eliminates Haslem. (Otherwise this trade would have already happened) What do you guys think, would the Heat give up their young star in Beasley for a proven Boozer? Would it make the Heat a better team? Would it help in D-wade’s decision to stay or go next year? If the trade did happen this would be the line up:
    Chalmers
    Wade
    Odom
    Boozer
    Oneal
With Cook and Haslem coming off the bench.

Odom hasn’t re-signed anywhere, trust it woulda been all over LA Times already and there’s nothing…espn reported last night that he’s close to signing with Miami!!!

And in terms of trading Beasley for Boozer…if I was Miami I would do it, Beasley is gonna be a superstar in like 2 years, but he just doesn’t fit with Miami…Boozer and Odom are better fits for that Miami team, and with those 2 I think Mario Chalmers would be much better, because all he’d have to do is shoot 3’s and play defense…Wade & Odom would do all the ball handling, and Boozer and O’Neal are gonna get doubled in the paint, so he’d do just fine!!!

If they could find a 3rd team willing to take on the last year of Mark Blount’s salary, maybe OKC or SAC then I think they could land Boozer for Beasley!!!

WHY, why, WHYYYY would u trade Beasley for Boozer when u have the cap space to sign close to a max contract in 2010…..I think once u get Odom for the mid level exeption (which such a bargain its a freakin joke) Wade would cool off with the demands and would realize that getting a FA in 2010 would make this team a contender….

If they: sign Odom for the 5 yr 34 million contract yahoo sports is reporting; Get Wade to sign an extension or resign after this season for near the max: then resign Chalmers and maybe someone else like Wright after this season – they will have approximately 17-20 million to sign a big time big man…….
      Possible FA in 2010:
      Bosh
      Amare
      Dirk
Hell, Boozer might be available as well

Im sorry, but a lineup of
      Bosh/Amare/Dirk
      Beasley
      Odom
      Wade
      Chalmers
Bench: Wright, Cook, 2010 mid level exception FA (preferably a defensive minded center – Chandler, Joel Przybilla, Brendan Haywood will all be available in 2010), and 2010 1rst round pick in a deep draft

      would compete for a championship
Patience Wade, 1 more year and u will compete for another ring

Can play his game more with miami. He will be allowed to handle the ball more and create without the triangle. I think he looks forward to that. He never wanted to leave when he was traded from there in the 1st place. He does not have hard feelings because they got Shaq and a ring. I think he wants to go to Miami. He has a much better shot though if he wants a ring if he stays put.

to liljkwon1: I just looked at the trade machine to see who the third would be, and both Sac town, and OKC, do not have enough cap space to take on Blount’s expiring contract. There are only two teams that could possible do it, the warriors or the Blazers. If the Warriors do it they would have to give Maggette to Utah, which would be nice, but they would be in the same problem they are in now. The Blazers looks more realistic, they would have to give either Travis Outlaw, Batum, or Webster to the Jazz. So it looks like Portland may be that 3rd team unless I missed something.
Chicago could also wind up getting Booze, and give Tyrus Thomas to Utah, but I think Beasley is more worth it, besides they have got to keep Dwayne happy, so he stays in Miami next year.
to Chicity: On the rumors page on espn.com, the top story was the heat were working out a deal for Odom, so I don’t think he has already resigned with the lakers quite yet. Of course that was just a rumor, and lilkjwon1 is right it would all over the news no matter where he ended up whether that be LA or Miami. Although if Odom does go to Miami, then Boozer will most likely go to, the Heat I think will try anything just to keep Dwayne happy, even give up Beasley! (sorry joe 2ba, it’s either Beasley or bust)
Future Jazz line up after the trade
    D-will
    Brewer
    Beasley
    Millsap
    Okur
with AK, Korver, and Koufus coming off the bench
