He just agreed to a 4 four 70 million extension with the Bucks. Will they try to keep all their core this off season, or try and go get a big name ? Seems like a fair price for Bledsoe

If they can keep Brodgon, Middleton, Mirotic, or/and Lopez, they should. I like their chemistry and the way they play right now. I think that’s fair money for Bledsoe.

They will have about $75mil on the books if they cut George Hill who is guaranteed only $1mil on the last year of his deal.

Obviously Middleton, Brogdon, Mirotic & Lopez will all be free agents. They will definitely go over the salary cap to keep there team together if not the luxury tax as well. Middleton & Brogdon alone will probably cost the franchise $50mil+, but if they get to ECF or even Finals I’d pay to keep them in a heartbeat.

He is a good player and would have attracted interest in the FA market so the Bucks have probably made a sound choice by tying him up early. He has got a better deal than he got back last time and it will take him up until he is 33 so he and his people will be happy with that deal.

Four years may seem a bit generous for someone who turns 30 this year and isn’t quite at the very top level but as a quality NBA starter he might have got that sort of offer elsewhere so the Bucks had to make him an offer he probably couldn’t really turn down.

I think he actually could have gotten more money closer to a 4 year 95mil if he wanted to, but he obviously likes it in Milwaukee.

I think Milwaukee will be fun to watch this summer as a free agent destination. Technically, they can offer KD as max deal, as well as other big names. Giannis has turned that place into a location players actually want to go to and it’s incredible for the small market teams of the league.

If your the bucks do you make that run at KD? Obviously he’s a great player and would be loved to have on any team but rn on this bucks team giannis is playing the four at times and that would be taking away minutes from all of their wing players including mirotic while possibly hurting chemistry? Another look in free agency maybe deandre jordan to give them a big man presence? Having him underneath/in the back can help the great defensive guards and wings they have to have the freedom to go and pressure or get in passing lanes more. Having a good rebounding big can also help in transition instead of giannis having to get so many rebounds so giannis and the rest of the guards can get out in transition. Just a thought if KD doesn’t work out or if they are looking for something else.

Kind of surprised they gave him that much with his injury history.

But if they can have some continuity under Bud and add one last allstar level piece to go with Bled,Giannis and Middleton(who should re-up also) I think they could be in the mix every year to come out of the east at least(barring injuries). However this does at least save them from some team coming and trying to ruin the Bucks Chemistry and back load a deal forcing you to let him go for nothing.Worst case they trade him off with a pick if his deal looks bad in 2 or so seasons..

Surprised he got that much? How??

Bledsoe is getting very solid numbers while playing high level defense on the best team in the league on top of playing around the leagues MVP,another team would’ve gave him more I’m certain.

Prob fair money. PG are dime a dozen in this league and Eric Bledsoe is 29 and injury prone. Glad they did not give him a 5yr $20+ per season contract….

2 or 3 decent seasons but i reckon he will be downhill in his fourth season of this contract – mark me
