I dont like how Luke Walton has been coaching this team. The starting lineups and rotations dont make sense to me.

Ball should be starting as playing next to Lebron makes him more aggressive. Rondo should be coming off the bench to lead the 2nd unit and make sure they play fluid.

Kuzma is great anywhere so him coming off the bench doesnt bother me but Ingram isnt a great set shooter and needs to create in order to be as productive as possible. Kuzma should start, Ingram should come off the bench and always be on the floor when Lebron is resting so he can be the 1st option in that role.

I like Mcgee starting but his playing time will always be limited to 20-30 minutes a night because he has asthma. They have been playing Kuzma at Center and I absolutely hate that move. Zubac is a good player and anytime he is not a liability they should give him minutes. Same goes for Jonathan WIlliams, the guy is a Kenneth Faried/Montrezl Harrell type energy big thats undersized but gives you good defense and extra possessions. Both should get spot minutes in the right situations and when Wagner comes back they can groom him into a backup C that provides more of a pick and pop type big to contrast Mcgee’s pick and roll strengths.

I understand its still very early in the season and it may have been difficult to figure all this out as Lebron didnt play much in the preseason but I just feel like a good coach would be doing a better job with this team. Luke Walton just seems like a mascot coach that loojks good on paper to be completely honest.

They only began the season starting rondo because ball got a late start and was still working his way back from surgery. The plan was always to move ball back to the starting role as soon as he got up to speed, whether rondo got suspended or not.

They have way too much invested in Ingram to bring him off the bench. They consider him a huge part of their long-term plans and need him on the court with lebron as much as possible to see if he can develop into that complimentary star they are hoping he can be. Kuzma is more suited for a bench role. He’s a guy that just comes in with one thing on his mind (to score). Ingram is more well-rounded as a player.

I thought zubac had potential when they drafted him, but he just hasn’t proven himself to be very good and can’t play at the pace they want to. I really wish they had found some more depth at center in the offseason. I’m hoping Wagner can contribute when he gets healthy.

I’d absolutely move hart into the starting lineup over kcp and think that needs to happen soon. I have to admit I’m unsure about Walton. He came in as a good guy for a rebuilding team I thought. However, I’m not sure if he has the personality to deal with this team. But you have to at least give him a chance.

I think Ingram may be gone by the end of the season. Luke needs to play Zo more minutes. He has an obvious bond with lebron. I really like Luke but as this teams coach…im not so sure.

I think Lonzo was always going to be the starter and we’ve already seen why. He’s the least ball dominant pg in the league which is perfect next to Lebron and Rondo is the heady floor general who can keep all the pieces involved and moving on the second unit. Lonzo on the second unit wasn’t a good fit bc he was pushing the ball ahead to Lance and Beasley…

The best lineup the Lakers have is Zo, Hart, Ingram, Lebron and Kuzma. That lineup has only been on the floor sparingly, typically in the mid to late third, and has just torched defenses while also being one of the best team defense lineups. I think we’ll see this lineup a lot more going forward.

I also think Mo Wagner could wind up being subtly huge for the Lakers as well. His rebounding, hussle, size and shooting will be a welcomed addition to the rotation. I’m not sure if he’ll ever be much of a rim protector but he competes and has size that they desperately need. He’s a smart and very vocal player as well and the Lakers team defense has been lackluster at best. And I’m learning to not doubt Lakers late first round picks…
