halfdecayedParticipantlmao Rondo and CP3 throwing hands, Ingram running and jumping CP3.. Skip called this, this would be the most volatile team we’ve seen in awhile, just didn’t expect this to happen this quickly. I think right now they are the most fun team to watch personally. I got tired of people firing 3s all game long for a good 2 years now..
Problem is, they can’t shoot.. When Lonzo seems to be your best shooter, you’re in trouble in this league. Ingram and Rondo will be suspended, CP3 aswell and I hope please god this frees up mintues for Svi so he can prove himself. Don’t give minutes to Beasley instead for the love of god..
After watching this game though, I predict that when the playoffs arrive, Lakers will be a better team than the Rockets.

The GoatParticipantCP3 putting a finger in Rondo’s face like that, I wish Rondo landed a few more on the big mouth midget.

MopgrassParticipantTHIS was an entertaining game. In the last 5 years they’ve had a couple shockers against Golden State, Kobe Bryant’s exit, and tonight… despite the loss.
As I’m always railing against James Harden on here, I’m glad Brandon Ingram pushed him and said a few words. Harden had pushed Ingram in the back a few plays after Ennis clothes-lined Josh Hart. Harden, dirtiest player and cry baby, always had it coming.
Rondo got chippy with CP3, CP3 put his finger against Rondo’s face, Rondo landed a pretty good left, missed the other, and CP3 barely landed a punch on Rondo. Ingram gets hyped and lands a punch on… somebody. Ingram is afraid of nobody. I love it. I less love the suspension.
LeBron truly played the ambassador to basketball: taking Chris Paul in arms, trying to calm the other team. I hope his team is cool with it. You know Paul and Carmelo are calling him later tonight.
Carmelo was following Ingram and Hart to the end of the court trying to make Ingram do something. It’s a brawl with the Lakers and somehow Lance Stephenson leaves as an unscathed peace maker. Go figure.

True_JafiParticipantThere was no spit. If any spit, it was from him talking. Nothing intentional. You can see Rondo talking shyt then look away, then CP3 tries to son him by putting a finger in his face and mushing him. CP3 is the President of the Union Rep but always trying to play thug on the court. He either punching ppl in the groin, crying to the refs or trying to bully ppl. Great player but his antics are annoying. Rondo don’t play that and I’m glad he checkedhim. Paul didn’t expect Rondo to do anything and that made it more lovely.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantNow that we know Rondo did Spit, does any body want to man up? Or are you happier in your delusion?

IlladelphParticipantWell, it isn’t very Showtime to start brawling in the 2nd or 3rd game of the season. And Lebron, god bless him, was holding CP3 back. The whole thing really started with Ingram shoving Harden in the back, and then that triggered CP3 which then triggered Rondo, which then triggered CP3 more, and then Rondo one-pieced him on the dome, and then… I think that this is not a good look for the Lakers. It’s pretty bush league, and if Showtime was really back, they would have handled the Rockets without losing their composure. It’s not that fun to have a game stopped for 10 minutes while the refs decide who to eject.
All the same, this is what you get when you build a team with random spare parts, even if the random spare parts are great players (ie Rondo, Lebron, Ingram…) This Lakers team has a lot of talent, but it’s just a mishmash of players. I think that Lebron still has enough left in the tank for another 3 years to lead a team to the championship, but the Lakers really need to think about personnel. Love Rondo, but not sure that was a sensible move to rent him for a year or two. Ingram, is developing nicely and will benefit from Lebron’s professionalism. The rest of the roster is dispensable, and this team hopefully will look very different next year. It will be interesting to see if Lebron takes this team over like he should, or if he tries to just be a role player. I hope he takes the team over, and the Lakers get him his Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade so that we can see a glorious final chapter to Lebron’s career, and the resurgence of the mighty Los Angeles Lakers. I would love to see the Lebron Show take another couple of chips before he sails off into the sunset.

OhCanada-ParticipantMcgee has been playing great basketball for them averaging 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks in 20 minutes the first two games. Kuzma has been playing Center while the rookie Wagner is recovering from injury and has also played well. Rondo has played some good basketball also.
They played two good teams that have been playing together a while Portland and Houston so the losses arent too terrible. However some of the signings like Stephenson and Beasley are head scratchers. Also not sure why they didnt keep Lopez he wouldve been a great compliment to Lebron and plays a completely different style than Mcgee.
They need guys to make shots and they need a backup Center to emerge if its not Wagner. However they have plenty of trade peices to readjust this roster. Im sure teams would love to trade for Ball, Hart, Kuzma.

SubZeroParticipantAnyone want to amend their statements about there being no spit? I hate Chris Paul just as much as the next guy but he’s totally vindicated in my eyes. Always stuck up for Rondo but spitting in a grown man’s face is way too disrespectful

RUDEBOY-ParticipantI’m a Lifelong Lakers fan since the days of the Original Showtime. My statement that Rondo didn’t Spit was me being Sarcastic. But the Nba just released the news of the Suspensions. Ingram got 4 games,Rondo 3 and CP3 only 2.
0- Posted on: Sun, 10/21/2018 - 2:28pm #1125353

SubZeroParticipantLol yeah I figured yours was joking. Anyone who thought it was an accident because of the mouthpiece or that Melo did it should take a long timeout
Surprised by how light the suspensions are too. David Stern would’ve sat Ingram for 15+

RUDEBOY-ParticipantNow Watch Lakers Go on a Winning Streak with Lonzo Running the Show. And I Hope Svi gets some Minutes.

Meditated StatesParticipantHe did not attempt to help Rondo he looked after his man toy,Cp3. No one is mentioning how he betrayed his teamates or how BI stood tall for Rondo and the squad. Shot out to Brandon Ingram and Rondo but Lebron is a hoe yall.
0- Posted on: Mon, 10/22/2018 - 9:35am #1125401

SubZeroParticipantNo one on the Rockets was trying to hold Chris Paul back and Lebron knew he was the only one who could. Chris Paul is the actual godfather of Lebron’s children so if you think basketball means more to him than that, you’re taking it way too seriously. Ingram wasn’t sticking up for anyone except himself because he was ticked off
