    What are the chances he plays next year? Over or under 50%? I’d probably go under.

     I see no reason to put him on the court at all even though I’d like to see how he’ll perform. They’ll be bad next season, and get another good draft pick that will probably result in a good player now the Fizdale is there. There’s always the off chance they surprise some people and somehow compete for a playoff spot (you never really know in the East), but even still I doubt he makes an appearance.

    What are everyone’s thoughts?

    I think KP might get a few ceremonial games at the end of March and beginning of April once the Knicks have secured a top 3 lotto spot. I would put his odds of under 20 games at 75%.

       Agreed. If the Knicks are hoping to lure a big name to NY, a top pick is huge, as is letting knox and Ntilkina show off some talent and development. But proving KP’s healthy could be more important, instead of letting that be a question mark going into next season.

     A top FA would want to know KP is sound before joining the Knicks – so getting him back for a few games would make sense. Plus it allows him to comeback quieter than for the opening game next seasom. He’s been out 8 months now and it is reckoned 10 to 12 months for this type of injury. Lets say just over a year if they are being cautious.

    Plus he’ll likely want to get back as he is an RFA so returning sound will boost his leverage for a max level deal.

     Personally I would go full development mode for this team: See what you have in Knox,Frank N and insert 1 more name here. Tank for a top 5 pick and get a need, Get a big name in the building(Klay,K.D,Butler etc) and then re-up Porzingas and the Pick….

     

     The Gm is playing it smart by not having Porzingas locked up/maxed out now and with an average roster-see Melos NYK years how this goes..They could also bring him back for a couple of games to see if they want to max him out or if he can be the same player..

     show that Kristaps is 100% healthy & ready to go for the 2019 / 2020 season 

    But the Knicks should balance that approach w/ understand that getting another Lottery pick will also be a Big help 

    So be VERY cautious w/ Porzingus & make sure he is 1000% healthy so I would Not rush him back, but Def play KP the last 20 games of the season so the coaching staff can get a feel for how he will fit w/ the current roster 

    I really like Knox a lot. I like Frank Ntilikina too b/c a 6’5” superior perimeter defender is an Excellent commodity! And along w/ Markelle Fultz, French Frank & he were the Youngest picks in that deep 2017 Lottery 

    So if the Knicks can land another Top 8 pick & sign at least One Max Free Agent by this time next season – as we say in the hood – the NY Knicks could Really be Cooking with Chicken Grease!
