Celtics3178ParticipantYou have a disgruntled star and you traded a bunch of assets to get him your the twelves what is your jimmy butler trade?
My wolves trade is with the bucks I team the Greek freak with JB and see how it does. In return the wolves get Middleton, Thon Maker and a first round pick. Imo a win win.
Your the gm of the Sixers you just maxed Simmons you have a little over 80 million tied up between Embiid Simmons fultz and Covington. You have to pay fultz the next year what do you do with Saric.
This one is a little tricky for me Simmon and Embiid deserve Max’s and Covington is on a steal contract at this point. I think you Pay Saric 15 to 20 million and you let Fultz walk. Smith can fill in for Fultz and Saric I think can be special.
Your the gm of the Celtics Kyrie and terry are free agents you just signed Marcus Smart and your going to have to pay JB and Tatum Sooner rather then later. Do you go for it all this year with what you have or Make a trade for the future?
I know it won’t happen but if Danny I’m making The Godfather offer for AD.i offer Kyrie Tatum and the Kings pick. Kills me trading Tatum but AD is so special you can’t pass it up. You resign Terry and start Terry Brown Heyward Horford AD. Smart Morris and Baynes your key bench pieces would be hard for anyone but GSW to beat.
Your the GM Of the Grizzlies the West is loaded and it’s time for a rebuild. You got your first piece in JJ. You have two of the best players in franchise history not fitting the time frame.
I take the best offers I get for Gasol and Conley and I put them on the block asap.. The Suns need a point and have loads of young talent. An unprotected pick next year one of their young bigs and chandler works for both. Grizz buyout chandler and get a nice pick Suns get their pg. gasol I trade to the blazers. The grizz get two unprotected first round picks and take on one or two of those awful contracts they have.. the grizz stock pile picks and the blazers add an all star big man with Lillard and CJ.
what do you do?

OhCanada-ParticipantId take a trip to Vegas with no return flight. Problem solved.

r377ParticipantCeltics – i would prepare to for kyrie to walk. Yes, i would trade him now, they have enough fire power even without him. I would sign Terry Rozier. Ant davis – i would offer kryie and jaylen brown not tatum
Horford i think is signed for this season and next, he will prob be gone or will have to sign at a cheap rate (which he could do if he wants a ring) he will be 34yo then and will need to come off the bench…
Grizz – they are still hanging on and will prob still try and compete this season and next as long as conley and gasol are healthy. Its easy to say blow it up and rebuild but not too many teams hit the Lotto jackpot like the sixers did

The GoatParticipant– Butler wants out. No way I’d give up Middleton and Maker for him even if he was fully committed to the Wolves. A first round pick as well..?! You crazy! He doesnt even want to be in Minny, they should be getting back 70c on the dollar at best. I’d offer Brogdon and Maker at best, plus I’d be shedding a bad contract.
– Fultz to Phoenix for Bridges and a pick, buys you a year if you are Philly and gets you an asset. Good deal for Phoenix if the real Fultz turns up (which looks likely now). Theyt have surplus wings and need a PG badly.
– Kyrie may walk and so I dont think the Pels take the risk on a rental. I’d be more inclined to plan on keeping Kyrie and selling him on staying by adding AD. So, I’d offer Rozier, Tatum, Baynes and Kings pick. Boston ends up with Kyrie, Brown, Hayward, Horford, AD with Smart and Morris off the bench. Pels have Rozier, Holiday, Tatum, Mirotic and Baynes plus 2 first rounders next year.
– Griz wont trade either. I am one of the few that still think the core could make a final playoff push if all healthy and given one more chance. They really missed their window though – they had Golden State done that first year the Warriors won.

negguaryParticipantthat’s who you are….LOL on one hand you say that’s too much to give up for jimmy even if he’s committed, then turn around and offer up Fultz who You said looks like he will be who we know he can be which is an all star for a lawyer we traded away for the 16th pick and a future first rounder! A player that we didn’t want! Delete your account please!

The GoatParticipantYou may have a hardon for Fultz but hes not a sure thing. He’s at a level that PHX can consider him and that Philly can get out from him while getting value back. Ben is the PG going forward. PHX have wings and need a PG. So, that’s my take. Deal with it. My account is older than you, I’m not deleting it for a fairweather fan who im pretty sure said they were done with the NBA when Boogie signed with the Dubs. Something like boys wrestling might suit you better, go watch that..

OhCanada-ParticipantBut Philly just traded Mikal Bridges for Zhaire Smith and a pick. Now they are gonna trade Fultz for the guy they just traded away and another pick?

negguaryParticipantlol he’s delusional…

The GoatParticipantuh fine.. before you all get your panties in a twist, it could be Warren or Jackson instead give or take a pick.. its just a hypothetical… a suggestion. I know they traded Bridges away, but the original post suggested just letting Fultz walk to solve future financial issues, I think getting something back would be a better idea. I dont think you will have Fultz and Simmons both trying to play point there together for very long unless one of them performs way below expectations.

HitsterParticipantButler will be moved soon so that deal will likely go down – Thibs takes best package he can.
Boston made big moves last summer – Ainge doesn’t make hasty moves with Hayward and Kyrie back he sees how this year goes and has good chance to retain Kyrie. He also has likely Sac-Town pick next summer to play with. Horford is the locker room leader and will likely opt in or resign.
Philly want to see Fultz in action, any renewal for him is 2 years off, they hold fire. Phoenix need a PG they look around and maybe deal a wing to get one in de course or wait for FA next summer if no-one emerges from current roster.
Memphis I think need to look at rebuild – Marc Gasol is 33 now can could opt out next summer, if he was moved to a contender he might opt in. Give him a few months mentoring JJ and then see what he is thinking about opting in, if he is saying he’ll likely explore FA then look to trade him to a team he might opt in or resign for and get an asset back.

Andv1 WaitingParticipantButler for Middleton-Wont happen they like him and he is on a cheap deal.
76ers-Futlz is a couple of years away from being paid at least 2-3…Simmons will probably get a max,Covingtons deal is average,I would pay Dario reasonable money as he at least consistent… I would also make Futlz go to RFA say we want you but you will need to either a) need to take pay cut due to us being super patient in first season or b) you are taking a back loaded max(if he has proved is worth it by then) if you want us to lock you up smartly..
Celtics trade …That is kind of a meh move as they win right now but you ruin your future…As A.D can’t stay on the court for full season and you give up Taytum who is their Franchise player in 2-3 seasons if he can keep going at current rate…
The Grizz should hit full reset as their time is now done for a bit in the playoffs…
The Mike C to the suns move though that is intriguing as he is smart, can shoot and plays reasonable defense the deal is the big issue and health concerns at times. However the suns staff could work magic with him…I would probably say Tyson C,Jared dudley,Mikal bridges, and a top 5 protected pick for Mike C. The Grizz get youth in Mikal,Get a pick to go with Jaren and get off conleys contract..This gives the suns a nice core of Ayton,Booker,Josh J and Mike C. Marc g to the Trail blazers doesn’t really make full sense I could see him getting traded in 3 team trade to someone like the t-wolves so the Grizz get youth from other team+Dieng and T-wolves get Gasol(maybe as part of Butler deal that eventually happens)…

HeroescantdieParticipantThink bucks would accept that, with the way they want to play 1 4 out woth giannis, middleton is a better off ball partenr thtan butler, plus the’ll establish checmistry that takes time with butler if they trade middleton

HitsterParticipantOne leftfield thought I had might if the Butler – Kyrie rumours are true then could Ainge put Hayward into play for Butler. Hayward has two guaranteed years on his deal and whilst not at Butler’s level if he’s back playing fit is a very good player. The T-Wolves can include Dieng for Morris so they move their major contract they wanted out with Butler. Boston throw in their 2019 first rounder to T-Wolves or to Kings if they take Dieng’s contract on for them.,

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantThe wolves are learning that Jimmy Butler isn’t as well thought of around the league as he thought. Minnesota seems to have more leverage than originally thought since it’s apparent no teams are clamoring to get him knowing what his contract demands will be after trading for him. If the Wolves sit back as they are they could potentially force Butler to stop being a baby and come back and lead the Wolves. It’s a long shot but I don’t think Butler wants to leave as much as $50 million on the table because of a silly grudge.

OhCanada-ParticipantGotta admit he is a guy who can push your team right into playoff success. Any team that picks him up immediately becomes a team that can compete for a playoff spot. But its not like he is a guy that has proven he can shoulder a team to being a home seed/contender so he cant be asking for two trades in two years and expect a team to wanna grab you as your contract is expiring. Who would want that guy?

HitsterParticipantDid Butler ask for a trade from Chicago?
We have never heard this formally but with what has happened at Minny it would figure he was causing unrest at the Bulls and they wanted shut of him.
Also every team knows what the Bulls got from Minny so wouldn’t want to offer more than that to get Butler especially with only one year left on his deals and a few red flags coming up.
I thought the Bulls had been lowballed by the T-Wolves on the Butler deal but with the recent events, the Bulls probably felt they were better shut of him and were happy to take a reasonable return and git the rebuild button.
