It’s not the prettiest but its definitely an improvement.

Arc12345ParticipantIt’s still him fading away and not shooting straight up and down.
If he really wants to become a better shooter, no fadeaways for an extended period of time. I’m not one of those people totally convinced he needs to shoot with his other hand, but I think working on the balance and flow of his shot would go a LONG WAY (his ceiling would be GOAT imo).
Unfortunately, that’s a lot to hope for. I felt the same way about Shaq if he ever developed his free throw shooting and it never came to fruition.

ChoppyParticipantIt’s progress. Not sure how much until the regular season starts. Personally, I won’t be convinced until he starts taking those sorts of shots in games that matter. That will truly tell us where his confidence level with his jumper actually is.

Jr. ROXASParticipantIf he wants to become a better shooter he has to actually take open shots. Too often attacks a defender and throws up an awkward floater even when the defender sags a lot. He release isnt that flawed. He has to have the confidence to shoot open shots and build from it.

The GoatParticipantI get improving the free throws, it has to happen. The jumper? It’s ideal if he does extend range, but I don’t think there’s much to complain about if you are 6’10", shooting well over 50% and you don’t force shots that are not your strength. As long as the team wins, it doesn’t matter. It’s really positive always attacking the rim and it means people have to guard you when you do, opening the passing lanes. I’d actually prefer he does this if his jumper is average or below average, because if he starts settling for them and he’s just ok, he’s taking away from a really effective play, attacking the rim to score or dump it off. Also keeps him in the lane to go back after offensive boards. No matter what, he has to keep running at his size. It’s really hard to deal with.

BeastMode716ParticipantBen Scrizzle’s Free Throw improvment is the priority & I would add learning to finish at the Rim w/ BOTH hands which no one Ever talks about
It’s insane that Simmons blows by NBA defenders off the dribble like they are orange cones but he always tries to finish w/ his right hand which actually brings the ball BACK to the defender & results in him throwing up goofy akward floaters from 2 ft away after he already had his man beat & could’ve just Dunked or Layed it in Lefty
And in this video I notice he is finishing w/ Both hands. I def would like to see him work out a reliable 12 – 15 ft Jumper to keep the Defense honest but Jesus Christ if he gets good at finishing w/ Either hand & he improves his Free Throw shooting % he won’t fear going to the charity stripe & if that happens we are talking about a player w/ a size & a skill set we’ve really never seen before
He Avg 16 8 & 8 & was a tick below an ALL NBA Defender on a 50+ Win team as a Rookie w/ Major holes in his game – that is outrageous! If he tightens up his game he’s in the MVP discussion every year in his prime
