     I was just reading about Memphis having Fed-Ex as their jersey patch sponsor and wondered what the ballpark deal for these type of deals are. Interestingly it’s only $6.5 million per year – I know the patches aren’t huge. But I’d have thought successful teams could get far bigger deals given that replays would show up these sort of patches and being associated with a successful team would appeal to top companies.

    Plus if patches are included on replica jerseys the likes of Steph, LBJ etc would have huge sales appeal.

     Lakers got $30 mil over 3 years so $10mil per from Wish.

     If the deal was done pre LBJ then it’s come good for Wish, it it was done more recently then Wish have done a great deal and Lakers need to sack their commerical dept!

     If you say the average is 8 mil a year times 30 teams 240 Million is solid just to add a logo to your jersey

     normal Market forces emerge & the price of Jersey advertising will rise. For example, Machester United just signed a deal with Chevrolet for $47 Million per year for their Jerseys. 

    The Market for Soccer / Football is much more mature b/c the Jersey or Kit advertising has been in practice so much long in that sport & Fans are used to it – no issue at all over there

    I am not 100% sure but I believe big time Football (Soccer) clubs in Europe’s Top leagues in England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France & so on cut deals for their game Uni’s AND practice Uni’s 

    Like Soccer, the NBA is a Global sport so I’m sure we’ll see these Logo prices increase w/ time
