How epic will Kawhi Leonard’s 30 for 30 be if he does not bounce back with the move to Toronto, while his extension with Jordan Brand is likely being taken off the table in October? (Scale 1-5)

    Scale of 1 to 5? 2.

Documentaries are usually about interesting people. Kawhi is…not that.

A Report Surfaced today that Danny Green played the entire 2017-18 season with a torn groin. That went unnoticed by Spurs Medical Staff. Green said he don’t blame Kawhi was for wanting a 2nd opinion.

Yep sounds like the Spurs need to fire their medical staff and get a new one in.

I remember at one point in time to where Phoenix’s medical staff set the bar for player revival.

The Danny Green situation is somewhat confusing. He suffered the groin injury on Dec 8th and had a MRI the 9th. The Spurs’ staff diagnosed him with a slight strain and that he needed to take a couple of weeks off.

However, he still had issues with the groin after the rest and rehab. He says they monitored it throughout the season, but never really went back to check on it (I’m assuming take another MRI) again due to other injuries that happened.

Then at the end of the season during exit physicals, he took a MRI and it revealed a small tear. They don’t know how long he had the tear. It could’ve happened during the playoff series vs the Warriors or he could’ve had it for months for all they know.

It’s confusing why they didn’t give him another MRI after the one in Dec if he was still having issues. I definitely would’ve gotten a second opinion from an actual specialist if I was Green.

It definitely sounds like the Spurs’ staff was slipping in this situation.

I’ve been pretty confused by Kawhi’s decisions throughout this ordeal but I will concede that a player really should never trust a team’s medical staff if the player has any doubts what so ever about his body. Isaiah Thomas was misdiagnosed during the season last year and the Celtics fired the entire medical staff in the offseason. As a Pats fan, I’ve seen the team medical staff rush back Rob Gronkowski way too fast for the playoffs only to rebreak his arm on the first series of the game. Tom Brady arguably saved his career by going outside the Pats org for recoving from his ACL tear back in 2008 and beyond through his relationship with Alex Guerrero. And while the NBA doesn’t have nearly the conflict of interests the NFL does only the player knows what his body feels like. Other than the Phoenix Suns and maybe the Baltimore Ravens (Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs miraculuosly wink wink coming back from torn triceps and torn achilles to play in the playoffs the same season), most team medical staffs should be taken with a giant grain of salt.

It’s hard to know anything about Kawhi ,  his injury, intentions, the trade or his future as he himself has not said anything to anyone about anything at all, ever. The media run with stories and he neither confirms nor denies any of them. He should write at book when he retires to see what the truth to every story has been. He may be a great guy, he may be a bastard. Who knows?

2 or 3. 2 if he says nothing 3 if he goes full out they did this this and this wrong while I was there.Hence why I wanted out. The Jordan brand deal thing has he already resigned it or they won’t be re-upping his deal? if you are implying they take the deal off the table then them explaining why might be interesting but my guess is it was just sole popularity if it is see D-wades brief time with Jordan brand if it is taken off the table..
