KT tape! 7/13 on the money ball! All he needed was his KT tape, which leads me to wonder why he didn’t wear it at Oklahoma.

But he was 0-6 on two point attempts & needs to learn how to generate clean looks inside the arc. He’s showing a nice ability to manufacture fouls….. but it’s beginning to look like an extremely inconsistent year is ahead for Trae

He did a great job making reads and dishing the ball. Attacked the defense. Was  7-13 from 3. Finished with 24 & 5. If I’m Atlanta I’d hold onto Dennis until around the All Star break. By that time Trae would have gotten better feel and understanding of the game

Gotta get rid of Dennis ASAP, feel he’ll be a cancer in that locker room and bad for the young Hawks development.

        But who is taking him on? Concerning need, I can only identify 4 potential teams that would take a call from the hawks if Atlanta isn’t willing to attach an extra asset to his contract;

        • Orlando – Few teams need a pg more than the Magic
        • Phoenix – The Ariza signing shows they want to be competitive. Maybe they entertain a deal. Not likely
        • New Orleans – Maybe Elfrid Payton’s recent haircut improves his game. Kidding aside, I’d rather take a chance on Payton at 5million per season than Dennis for 17.5million per.
        • Cleveland – Only if they keep Love and try to push for an 8th seed. Who do they send back though?

PHX has a ton of small Forwards, wouldn’t be surprise they trade TJ Warren For Dennis..PHX need a point, ATL need a wing who can get buckets.

He shot a lot of deep 3s. Problem is there will be some nights those type of shots will not go in.

Trae Young was never Steff Curry – he’s not a 45% 3pt shooter – he’s a 36% 3pt shooter – so that will translate in the NBA as a solid but not great 3pt shooter

But I am very excited about Young’s passing ability & his ability to penetrate off the dribble.

I don’t see him as a Super Star – he’s not big enough to attack the rim & score thru contact, his shooting can improve but he’s just not a Steph or Klay & that’s OK

He’s gonna have a tough time defending too but Young has a really good skill set, he’s exciting, he’s got leadership potential & he’s playing a key position in the NBA where he can influence the game every night

Atl fans have a few nice pieces to build around so fans can enjoy this Rebuild – but they will def be in the top of the Lottery the next couple years but they are no longer in a desert wasteland. Hopefully they can get an asset in return for Schroeder

Young is really struggling tonight, but I think his play will improve w/ better players around him & a better system. This Hawks SL team is trash in every way.

He is really small though. He makes Holiday look big.

You guys got a nice pickup in Holiday. Have you seen his J? Effortless and smooth.

Yea, he’s going to be a very good player and that’s at both ends of the floor.

I think he’s in a great situation this year playing behind Collison & Joseph. He’ll learn a lot.

I will say the concerns about him at the defensive end are legit. He can’t keep Holiday out of the lane.
