OhCanada-ParticipantExpect a breakout year for Frank Jackson who missed his debut season with a foot injury. He will be a redshirt rookie this year for the Pelicans and they have high expectations for the PG out of Duke. They think he can be a lockdown defender and like his basketball IQ. I think the Payton signing was to bring in someone for him to compete with for the starting PG position. He will be playing in summer league as well and should be good.

whiteflashParticipantI like Jackson, but he’s more of a 2 than a pg. Kind of reminds me of a slightly less explosive Jerryd Bayless.

ChewyParticipantof Frank Jackson. I had him as a better pro than Duval and he did nothing to change my mind this year at Duke. I’m glad the Pels we’re willing to go slow with him and let him heal right. He has a decade of production in his tank. No need to rush.
Didn’t think he would get any time as long as Rondo and Holiday were there. With Rondo gone Frank will get a chance early to earn minutes!

Jr. ROXASParticipantI’m high on him too. You can see on Pels games that when Rondo subs out, he always likes to sit beside Frank. You can tell he took it upon himself to mentor the kid. And who better point guard to mentor you than Rondo.
