Celtics3178Participantwith Lebron signing in LA and Kawahi coming out and saying he wants to play with Lebron in LA you can’t trade the house for Kawahi. The one year deals on decent players isn’t going to work for a long term goal. They are going to have to pay saric and Simmons serious money so they only have one free agent window after this one.
I think that plan A has fallen and plan B should be spending that money wisely. Throwing 13 mil a year to AB seems like a smart move to me. He can play tenacious D, hit the 3 ,he’s a hard worker, good mentor and one of the best cutters in basketball
With the other 17 million go after Julius Randell. He would be the perfect fit next to Embiid and Simmons. He’s a little undersize but he rebounds can shoot the 3 and he hustles. The guys is a beast down low.
Stars just aren’t attracted to Philly. Cap space is only as good as the players you can attract. Would a Kyle Lowry trade be possible if philly ate a lot of the cap on the trade?

ZouldiersParticipantWayne Ellington is also a possibility. He’s from there and is a shooter that Philly needs and he’s not that expensive since Miami can’t afford to go over the tax.

r377ParticipantI read they are interested him.
Sixers have a good team already, 2 or 3 complimentary pieces are all they need to compete in the east.
We also don’t know how good fultz will be

mamadouParticipantYep Bradley should be the top target, perfect runner, cutter for Simmons, he could also play with and help Fultz’s development(even shamet, hiding them defensively).
Simmons playing the 1 with PF size, Bradley the 2 with PG size.
Then i would add a guy like O’Quinn on the bench(toughness, old school, flagrant fouls in the PO).
A Tolliver, big time 3 pts shooter last season, glue guy(1+1 deal).
A cheap Jeff Green, scoring punch, another great runner or a Beasley, Hood 1 year deal ?
They’ll need to replace some of the Ilyasova-Belinelli prod, Fultz will step up, he has to, but a 2nd reliable offensive minded player is needed off the bench at the 3/4.
They need to sign 4 if not 5 players, most of them on short deals, nba vets 27-33yo.

Bankroll PJParticipantPhilly should save their money for next year when Kyrie Irving is a free agent.

cominup7Participantits kinda funny that last yr this time Kyrie was looked at as a building block in BOS, but now people have been passing him around from team to team on this forum lol
Does BOS not want him longterm? Or vice versa? Or do they think Rozier is really legit?
Ainge is a smart GM but he’s teetering on Hinkie levels of unnecessary wheeling and dealing…when will he be satisfied with his core? (not asking you I guess but just thinking out loud)

EndlessknightParticipantAs others have said they just need to sit tight and sign a bunch of 1 year deals to persevere cap space. Next year Bayless and Anderson come of the books. That’s an extra 11M right there on top of what they roll over from this off season.
They are a 50 win team even without a big name free agent. Just want until next off season and make a run at Klay, Butler and/or Kawhi.

celtics1982ParticipantBut he’s not a good fit next to Embiid. Was great this year playing center and in todays NBA two low post players doesn’t work.

HitsterParticipantBradley would be a good fit or even make an offer to GSW to bring Iggy home. GSW are way into luxury tax and Iggy is on $16 million a year. Klay is a FA next summer so moving Iggy would free up cap space for them if they were confident they could find good veterans to fill out the bench.

The GoatParticipantNews in they just re-signed JJ Redick for one year at 12-13million. Its a good move. 10mil cheaper than last year, can still afford some pieces with the savings plus the money they previously spent on Bellinelli and Ilyasova. Slim chance they can still get hold of the Klaw too.
