Keep in mind this is still being updated. I know for a fact the Raptors have also added Andrew Rousey, Giddy Potts, Augusto Lima (remember him?), and Codi Miller-McIntyre.

Also obviously the guys on contract OG Anunoby, Malachi Richardson, Alfonzo McKinnie and maybe Malcolm Miller.

I’d be pretty surprised if Fultz doesn’t suit up for Philly this SL.

I read reports 76ers has a shooting coach to work with Fultz for 6 weeks. And he might not attend SL. To me the best way to get his shooting touch back is playing .

That’s crazy if true. Wonder how much of that’s them trying to "protect" him? There’d be a lot of dude’s going straight for his neck in the SL, and he might not respond well.

It’s True. lol. Fultz has been working with Trainer Drew Hanlan for the past 3 weeks. Hanlan also worked with Embiid on his shooting. He said Fultz has the worst case of the Yips he’s ever seen. Said Fultz totally forgot how to shoot and had multiple hitches in his shot. Hanlan is confident it’ll be back to normal by the end of Summer!

You don’t fix mechanics in a game. The only thing a game does that training doesn’t is building confidence and learning to perform under pressure.

Makes you wonder what the heck he has been working on for the past 9 months. Couldn’t work on his jump shot all season?

That’s why I brought up the "they may be protecting him" angle. We all know his shot looked… off last year, but he had literally the entire season and now a couple of months into the off-season to work out the kinks. Something just seems fishy.

Philly claimed he had a shoulder injury, but now the trainer is saying he had/has one of the worst case of the yips he’s ever seen. Those are two completely different things, and it sounds to me like they’re hiding something.

There were so many reports going out it was nuts. Initially the team said he was physically fine. His agent said he was hurt. The team eventually sent him to a specialist and he was diagnosed with a scapular injury to his shoulder. I believe he did have an injury of some sort, but it was obvious that wasn’t why he forgot how to shoot once he was deemed clear. It seems most likely his long term mentor wanted to improve his shot which led to the injury. Regardless Fultz is a disturbing case and I hope for his sake when he hits the court again that he’s ready and able to shoot again. Otherwise the 76ers made perhaps the worst trade in NBA history. That also depends on what happens with the Kings pick next year.

Could be wrong, but I don’t ever recall anything like this happening before. It’s such an unusual situation from top to bottom.

If we learned anything from burnner-gate it’s that Fultz injured his shoulder doing strange shooting drills with his personal trainer slash father figure. (Well that and Okafor knee failed a physical). He initially hid his injury from the team.

After coming clean the team sent him to the world’s best shoulder doctor, the same doc MLB pitchers use, after a few months of rehab Fultz got a clean bill of health. This take us to late Dec early Jan.

Unfortunately he lost both his muscle memory and confidence in his shot. A jump shot is all muscles memory and confidence. Since the season has ended he’s be working with a elite trainer Dew Hanlen, the same guy who turned Jayson Tatum from a 34% 3-point hooter in college to a 43% 3-point shooter in the NBA.

By all account the training is going will and Fultz is ahead of schedule, see here:
                  http://www.phillyvoice.com/trainer-drew-hanlen-dishes-markelle-fultzs-new-jumper-case-yips/

There is no conspiracy on the Sixers part. Even without a jump shot Fultz set the NBA for youngest triple-double ever. It’s reason like that why he probably wont play summer league. Simmons didn’t play summer league last year either. So please stop with all the X-files level nonsense.

This all needs to be taken in context. Fultz looked awful. His triple double was in the last game of the season against 3rd stringers who didn’t play D and were trying to pad their stats. There’s also been so many conflicting reports out of Philly you shouldn’t trust anything you read or hear, other than reports that Colangelo is the only one who wanted Fultz and literally everyone else in the front office was and is displeased with taking him.

Fultz had about the same or better shooting percentages as Ball, Fox and Smith. Believe whatever conspiracy you like, it’s pretty obvious you have an agenda, but the version of events I listed above have be collaborated by burner-gate and numerous Philly sports reporters.

But thats just not true. Fultz shot FG 40%, 3pt 00.00% and FT 47%.  He only took about 30 jumpshots which is counting long floaters and on those shots he shot 30%. His upside is considerably high and he is quite a talent that 76ers fans should be excited about but those are bad numbers no matter how you look at it and to play with Simmons and Embiid effectively hes gotta be able to shoot.

But I dont know how much its gonna matter because Landry Shamet is gonna come in there and light it up with his shooting. He’s gonna be knocking down so many open jumpers just watch.

                      Fultz fg%: 40.5
                      Ball fg%: 36.0
                      Fox fg%: 41.2
                      Smith fg%: 39.5

And Fultz played mostly garbage time while Smith (for example) started and finished most games while also being maybe the most aggressive penetrator in the league yet only averaging 2 fta’s a game, which obviously really hurt his fg%. Again, you need to establish context.

Why would I have an agenda? Fultz looked like crap. That can’t be argued. Those same reporter’s have also acknowledged that NO ONE in Philly wanted Fultz other than Colangelo, and he apparently had really underwhelming workouts for them. If he really hurt his shoulder doing "weird shooting drills", then maybe professional basketball isn’t for him. Also, the word is "corroborated".

Fultz did not “look like crap” after coming back from his injury. He had a higher fg%, higher ast rate and lower turnover rate than Ball or Smith. Why is it everyone wants to jump on the guy who had an injury but give a free pass to Ball and Smith?

After coming back from injury Fultz shot 42.9% from the floor and averaged 15.4pts and 9.4ast PER36. That is far from looking like crap. Those are actually really good numbers for a 19 year old.

And as Oh Canada pointed out he shot ZERO PERCENT from 3 and 47% from the line. He also played mostly meaningless minutes during meaningless games. Oh, and his own team wouldn’t even play him during the playoffs because he wasn’t good enough to contribute. I get that you Philly fans are passionate, but you also have to be objective and realistic.

The Sixers won every game Fultz played in the regular reason after he coming back. He play 17.7 minutes a game and those games were far from meaningless as they were fighting for the 3rd seed. But I give up, you obviously have an axe to grind with Fultz and/or the Sixers. Feel free to have the final word.

42% isn’t very good when its only 2 pointers. The other guys you pointed out were jacking up a lot of threes and had a lot higher effective field goal percentage.

No one will call him a bust yet, but he wasn’t very good. The Sixers talked to teams about trading him to move up in the draft. I think that says it all.

Fultz shot 43.3% from 2 after returning from injury which is by no mean good. But know what, Ball shot 42% from 2, and Smith Jr. 43.6%. Once again their seems to be a double standard.

No Fultz didn’t shoot 3s but Ball and Smith probably should’ve either after shooting 30.5% and 31.3% respectively. After coming back from injury Fultz was playing for a team that was fighting for the 3rd seed in the East. Every win counted. He didn’t have the luxury of doing whatever he wanted like Ball/Smith. He had to earn his minutes and that he did. Averaging 15.4 points and 9.4 assist PER36 in nearly 20 minutes a game on a team that went undefeated after he come back.

As for the trade rumors, so what? There were rumors about Dario and Covington too. There were also rumors about Jaylen Brown.

He played in 14 games, 18 minutes a game, 7.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists , 40.5% field goals, 47.6%FTs and he attempted only one three pointer all season which he missed. He played crazy limited games and minutes and you want to create a smaller sample size so he looks better than other players? The other guys were starting games, playing against starters. Fultz was a backup,  didn’t start one game. Per 36 Minutes Is Crazy Given His Limited Minutes And The Fact He Didn’t Start A Game.

Stop acting like Fultz was a reason they did well. It was there shooters all on fire, not Fultz. He played in only 3 playoff games, 23 minutes shooting 14.3%. They ran over the Heat, till the best D in the league cooled them off.

I like Fultz, he should improve and the Sixers are going to be good for years. Just stop trying to fudge numbers to make Fultz seem better then he was. It was a horrible rookie year and a ton of guys looked a lot better than him.

He was so good that 3 games into the playoffs they stopped playing him. He ranked 11th on the team in minutes played. He was passed by Justin Anderson in the playoffs. I think that says everything about how Fultz was playing.

Nevermind his best game of the year, was the last game when the Bucks rested all there players. Sterling Brown lead the Bucks in minutes that game.

I’m pretty pumped to see Harry Giles back on the court. All of the Kings from management to players (especially VC and Temple) have been saying this guy is basically the next big thing and that they were surprised of how good he was. Im excited to see how the Giles and Bagley frontcourt will perform.

For guys under contract, do they play in summer league because their teams tell them that they need to work on their games? Do some players just want the experience?

I was mildly surprised to see Jordan Bell, John Collins and Bam Adebayo. I don’t think they need to prove any further that they belong in the league.

I believe guys under contract are generally advised to play in summer league by their teams. There are cases where players ask to play in summer league, I believe Devin Booker asked to play before his second season.

I like when teams send their second year guys like John Collins, Jordan Bell, and Bam Adebayo. It gives them chance to mesh with any new draft picks and gives the players an opportunity to shine. The Hawks especially have a summer league team to watch as they’re likely to have at least four rotation players playing in Trae Young, Kevin Huerter, Omari Spellman, and Collins.

I can’t wait to see how Terrance Ferguson has improved. He didn’t really have an offseason to train last year so I can see him making a few jumps

Dallas and Sacramento’s teams both look like they could be super fun, and the Clippers may have both of their future starting backcourt members together

The Lakers summer league roster was just announced and I really like the squad despite Lonzo and Kuz expectedly sitting SL out. Outside of the lakers draft picks, Malik Pope, Jeffrey Carrol, Malik Newman, Johnathan Williams and Joel Berry are going to make this team competitive and fun to watch. And they all are at positions of need or have a skill that the Lakers need.

Thomas Bryant tore it up in the G-League so I’m expecting him to perform well. It will also be alot of fun to see him going up against the lotto bigs from this years rookie class. He’s a great athlete for his size and can stretch the floor a little so he will be a fun matchup for them.

I hope he plays, I want to see him.  One of the weirdest things ever. He has crazy talent and was known as a very good shooter. Yet he wouldn’t even try shooting. Wish him well because those mental issues are hard and that’s what this has to be. Hope he’s not another Rondo, who after having FT issues completely changed his game. He was no longer the crazy driver to the basket he was early in his career. He was just a passer going forward. No more epic series like when he battled a prime Derek Rose in the playoffs.

Guys that won’t shoot worry me way more than guys that shoot, but shoot at a low percentage.

I cannot find my old post links on Thomas Bryant and Alpha Kaba

I am not a fan of each of them and think both will struggle to make a team and have a long career in the NBA

    Harrison-Reed-King-Peters-Cooley.

U-21 starting 5, 7 picks in the last 2 drafts, Bender 3rd year is still 20, Harrison played a bit in the tanking last year as a d-league call ups, Cooley hall of fame summer leaguer LOL, i think he must have played in all summer leagues since 2013, sometimes for 2 teams in orlando and vegas.
