With no KP and a questionable 9th pick in Kevin Knox, I’m confident this team finishes with the worst record in the league which gives us a shot at the number 1 pick in 2019. I know its early, but the thought of Zion Williamson on the knicks gives me hope. I don’t see this team being competitive until around 2022-2023, but i’m hoping they can be patient and pick up some top draft picks.

RJ Barrett, we havent got a good 2 guard since Allan Houston and that’s a long enough period

Yeah if I’m the Knicks I’m looking at Barrett. Not only does he have superstar potential, but he can run an offense, and the Knicks haven’t had a guy like that in a long time. I don’t think Zion’s gonna do near as much on a team where he’d have to create for himself because he won’t be able to bully people on every possession

If they get the number 1 pick next year, draft Barrett and then sign Kyrie in 2019 (not a sure thing but it’s been rumored he’s interested in the Knicks) they have the makings of a solid squad going foward.

    PG- Kyrie

    SG- Barrett

    SF- Hardaway

    PF- Knox

    C- KP

That’s a pretty nice lineup depending on Knox’s development. Also would have Ntilkina coming off the bench as a very good perimeter defender (and hopefully improved shooter). I really like Mitchell Robinson too, and am hopefully Fizdale and staff’s emphasis on player development can bring out the best of him because he certainly has the tools to be a good player.

I would hope next year they can use some of the few tradable assets like Coutney Lee to bring back some more young talent/draft pick(s). And also I hope some of their young players like Trey Burke, Mudiay, and Damyean Dotson can turn into solid rotation players.

As a Knicks fan this is the first time in a while I can see a light at the end of the tunnel, and I hope they don’t find a way to screw it up as they usually do.

Let’s assume Irving is in play, does being the worst team the league help you get him? I would think it would be more of the Knicks are better than people thought. An up and coming team. Like Horford to the Celtics years back. Nevermind I don’t see how your the worst team in the league. Guys like Hardaway prevent that. You’d really have to work at it, for that to happen. I really like Knox, that was a good pick.

I don’t care about the Knicks, but I agree, Kevin Knox was a very solid pick.

those of you whining about the Knox pick are gonna look stupid in the near future. Knox will be good to great. Mark it down. He’s the youngest in the draft and yet was still a good scorer in college under the bright lights at the University of Kentucky. If the Knicks have even a decent player development program, watch out.

Knicks quietly had a great draft. As far as Knox goes you couldve picked any of Knox, Bridges, Bridges or Porter and it wouldve been the right pick. None of those guys are bad picks and they picked the youngest of all. Then they get another high potential guy Mitchell Robinson who was once on par with Bamba, Jackson Jr, Carter. Knicks have been going all potential in the draft for a while now and it will eventually pay off. Cant wait to watch Robinson at Summer League.

Kevin Knox was potentially the guy with the most upside who the Knicks could draft. Mikal Bridges was likely more NBA ready but the Knicks went for the younger guy.

Mitchell Robinson might also be a great pick up at 36.

I agree that Barrett would be a great fit in NY if they got lucky in next year’s draft.

I’d figure that the Knicks will look to create one good FA space possibly next summer or certainly a couple by 2020. If they could do that then they would be in a good position to get some top quality guys in given their big market.

They are defenitely reading it. Colangelo is not the only incompetent GM in the league. If he was on these forums with burner accounts there must be others.

When I hear fans talk about what they want & how soon they want it that’s just not reality

We ALL know that in the NBA it’s Much better to sink to the bottom so you can land Top talent in the Lottery

IMO the Knicks for the 1st time in Many years look like they have acquired some really talented young pieces w/ more to come in the 2019 Lottery & they are starting to build a young talented roster the right way
