Which young team will win Championship 1st?

Im gonna pick the Thunder.
With the players they have that are potential superstars in the future (Durant, Westbrook) Plus Harden and Green as great players too, I can see them being one of the contenders within the next few seasons.

i would Portland is the most ready, OKC , Clipps, Warriors, Grizz need time to even be up for the conversation

None will win within the next 2-3 years. The teams on top now will stay there for 3 years(cle. bost. orla. La. sa). You should mention denver on this list. I believe it will be the thunder. They seem to have everything set for the future while some teams still need a lot of stuff. The bulls could if Rose turns out to be as good as people say he might be. Denver and Blazers have chances at it within 3 years but it’s unlikey. Between Bulls and Thunder i’d go with thunder.

I will say the Thunder as long as they can keep Durant from heading to NY in a couple years. I read somwhere that they are targeting him and Melo. If they lose him, ya gotta say the Blazers. Roy and Aldridge are fantastic and if Oden ever comes around, look out.

I think all the teams mentioned above are an “it” factor away from being real contenders..
Just 1 more legit player to put them over that hump

But I have to say Thunder, Durant is going to be the best player in the NBA in like 6 years
Russel Westbrook is a stud, superstar potential
James Harden, Jeff Green are going to be great role players
Thabo Sefolasha is very underrated, I think he’ll do good with that Thunder team
And the average age of that team is like 23, everybody is still developing

Yi, Lopez, Harris, CDR, T-Will, and some other quality young players. I’d pick the Thunder. If Mullens pans out…they are set at every position and Ibaka as well

for someone with as many points as you and as many post as you have you should be fairly happy with the Points. Unless you reward yourself with points, but don’t pay attention to the Points. It isn’t a big deal.

Agreed Mallstax. They are trying to play Krstic at the C right now and no offence to him but he isnt a cut out for that position. Chandler would have been great for them if he would have stayed healthy.

Green is 6-8 ,doesnt post updown low , plays on the perimeter so i see him as a SF

I understand what you mean, but some people just do it for the heck of it…it’s dumb, but it’s the way it works. One day I came on and had a whole bunch more points then the day before and another day I’m losing points. I don’t know if people go and read my old post or what, but it’d be great if we can go and see what we post. Recently I’ve been posting alot more then a week ago because I’ve had the time again. Jeff Green isn’t a 4, but he’ll either have to learn to play there or he’s going to be benched and a 6th man which can be a very good fit. Maybe the Thunder should go after D. Lee or Big Baby. Both PF’s and it’ll help their team down low as well as rebounding. I really like how they built their team though, it’s better then the Blazers I’ll tell you that. Blazers did a nice job, but if Durant was in Portland they’d be on their way to the Conference Finals. Thunder have their Point, 2 Guard, Durant, and all they need is some bigs. Free Agency, Draft, or Development of players like Sene, Ibaka, or Mullens. Collison and Kristic are also there.

stop actin like a wise guy , Jeff Green plays way way more on the perimeter than down low, he isnt the type of player to command a dpuble in the post and he never ever even goes in the post, he can guard 4’s but on O he is a 3. OK Buddy

If they had a big C would it matter how big Green is?? If the guy is one of your best players, then a good coach finds a spot for him. If he can guard the 4 and has the ability to pull the big man away from the basket, then why not do it. It takes the “traditional PF” out of his comfort zone. IMO, that only helps your offence. Especially a guy like Westbrook or Durant who can get to the basket. The more room at the rim, the better.

hate to say it but i think the grizz… OJ and Rudy will make the best 1-2 punch in the league in a few yrs and conley is still developing as long as thabeet aint a scrub bust they can be legit

IDK about the Grizz man. OJ and Rudy are both good, but as far as a winning it all? They started like 3 rookies and a sophomore. You have to have vets, players at every position, and players with playoff experience to win. I know the Thunder dont have the experience but they have players at almost every position and they have a proven star in Durant.

i’d say the thunder. they have Durant, Green, Westbrook, Harden, Mullens could end up being a steal. they have a guy to do their dirty work in collison, and they have i believe two first round picks in this years draft. OKC is gonna to be stacked

I think Portland easily they have the best team out of all of the young teams and will keep getting better and better.

As for the Grizzlies, we have a well balanced team. 2 Centers who compliment each other very well, Gasol very good on offense and Thabeet is good on defense. Randolph has had off the court issues but there is no doubt his talent. Great offense and rebounding. Arthur will turn out to be a good role player off the bench. Gay is a rising star and you have Carroll for defense and hustle off the bench. OJ has superstar potential and Sam Young can be the steal of the draft. I also expect Conley to have a break out year. Think 14 points and 8 assists.

I think we need to sign Marcus Williams who is a great passer to dish the ball out to our scorers. And sign a shooter like Rodney Carney.

The future is bright

Right now its definitely Portland, they’re pretty set and if Bayless becomes the scorer he’s capable of, and they trade for a legit starting SF they’re poised for a deep playoff run within these next 2 years!!!

But in 3 or 4 years its OKC…they’re all young and talented, they run 2 or 3 deep at every position, and guys are still developing(that’s scary to say for Durant and Westbrook)…Green is not the problem he’s fine as a stretch 4, but they need a bench guy who can play the 4/5 and score, rebound, defend the post, and block shots, and Collison is not it, plus they really messed up rescinding that Chandler trade, if there’s any way they can revisit that, they should…but by 2012 this team will be turning heads!!!

why the hell would joe johnson want to go to minnesota. its freezing, its not a great market, they are not a good team, and all of their good players are power fowards.

Blazers, Thunder, Grizzlies WILL be the best teams in the league for years to come, it’ll be a tough battle in the west!

I think they have a chance this year with the youth of dejuan blair and jack micCLITon

You cant just say a team and mention a couple of young players and say they are young. Cleveland is not a young team even if you name 2 young players.
