R-Dot-13ParticipantWho do you think will be the rookie leader in all the stat catagories?
PPG: Curry (while shooting a low percentage)
APG: Jennings or Flynn
RPG: Griffin
Im still determining blocks and steals.

FutureoftheGameI would think that it would be like this
PPG: Evans – He is going to be asked to do alot for this team to help get Martin open and keep the double teams off Thompson. He can get to the rim and has showed some average range. That being said, he can really create for himself along with his teammates. Im not a Evans fan by any means, but if the Kings are smart, they will let him score.
APG: Jennings – Just like with Evans, he will be asked to do alot for the Bucks. He does have some shooters aroud him to dish to such as Redd, Alexander, Bell, Meeks and maybe someone else. If he gets to the point where people help down on him and he can dish out, he will really rack up the assist.
RPG: Griffin – I am hesitant in saying this because of Camby, Kaman, and Jordan. I definatly dont think it will be Thabeet and prolly wont be Hill. Griffin has to tools to be a great rebounder as long as his teammates dont take them from him.
BPG: Thabeet – I hate myself for saying Thabeet. Its hard to imagin he wont lead the rookies in blocks because he is 7’3 but I dont think it will happen. I just put him here because I dont see Blake blockin at a high clip and if Thabeet will just keep his hands up at all times he will get one a game.
SPG: Flynn – As quick and explosive as he is, he will be all in passing lanes just like Chirs Paul is. This doesnt mean that he will be a great defender but a good ball reader. I hope nobody gets that confused.

R-Dot-13ParticipantPPG: Curry : He’ll end up taking a lot of shots to get around 20 ppg.
APG: Jennings, if sessions leaves : If he uses a pass first mindset he should definetly rack up the assists.
If sessions stays, flynn.RPG: I just cant see anyone other than Blake leading this catagory, but his teammated make take them from him
BPG: Thabeet, unfortunetly.
SPG: Jennings or Flynn : Both are quick and athletic and will help them get in the passing lanes to get steals.
Overall ROY pick:
1. Jennings
2. Flynn0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 7:48pm #187228
MallStax5Participantwhy not Evans?
he will get the greatest chance becuase he will be the ball handler of the team
and the point guard.
blake will get his but it will be tough in his first year.
the las big man to win the award was Okafor in 04-05.
that wont change.
i see evans having a solid season because yea he may not really be a point guard but he is stronger than most and he can bully them.0 - Posted on: Tue, 07/21/2009 - 7:50pm #187233

R-Dot-13ParticipantEvans is my next pick, but if Jennings is the starter in Milwaukee, I expect a great season from him .

rhbispParticipantPPG: I see Evans, Curry, and Griffin all averaging 17-18, but I’ll take Blake as the safest pick because Evans can’t shoot and Nelson doesn’t like giving rookies a lot of minutes(I hope Curry becomes an exception though).
RPG: Griffin should be pulling in about 9 per. Nobody’s topping that.
APG: The pick here is Jennings. He’s the best playmaker in this year’s class (I like him even more than Rubio) and I think he played well enough in summer league that he’ll get to start for the Bucks. Give him full starter minutes, he could get almost 7/game. I’ll predict about 5.5. Doesn’t seem like much, but only Rose surpassed that number last year.
BPG: Thabeet. Just give the guy 25-30 minutes and he’ll get 2 per game. He’s a better shot blocker than Brook Lopez.
SPG: Honestly, none of these guys stand out like Chalmers as guys that will get 1.5 or better a game. I’ll go with Jennings based on summer league performance.
