rvan14ParticipantHawks executives believe Ayton to PHX and Bagley to Sac. Doncic is their guy according to ESPN. Could be a big smokescreen, but that could mean Schroeder trade upcoming.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantMeans one of two things:
- They’re trying to get Dallas to trade up by leaking that they now want Doncic.
- They found a trade for Schroeder they’re comfortable with if the top 2 shakes out the way they expect and they’d take Doncic to be the primary playmaker going forward.

KHAM83ParticipantIf they want Donic, I think we take him regardless if we already found a deal we like for Schro.

mamadouParticipantSchroeder(and a late 1st ?) to the magic for the 6th(and a bad contract), they could draft the best defensive bigmen(Jackson/bamba) or the best guard available(Doncic/Young) or even a MPJ…at 3 and 6.
They’re going full rebuild, youth, tanking while a team like the magic is still delusional(trying to win now, fake PO contenders).
This summer, Hawks will take on salary dumps with picks or young players attached(ala nets lately).

high floorParticipantI would be SOOOOOOO pissed. No way they would remotely consider this.

KHAM83ParticipantI think a more reasonable move would be Schro and Hawks 30 or 34 pick to Suns for their #16 pick. Chances are slim that Phoenix finds their pg at 16.
Ayton
Warren
Jackson
Booker
Schro
Schro’s positives would work with this system while his cons (defense) would be aided by having Ayton behind him.

Arc12345ParticipantIf this is true…my prayers have been answered! THANK YOU LAWD.
Please don’t ruin this Hawks. Take Doncic, move Schroder, don’t overthink this. If you want another pick, move assests and later picks to have a run at Memphis’ No. 4 + Parsons and Denver’s No. 14 + Faried.
JUST PLEASE DONT SCREW THIS UP. TAKE DONCIC. My emotions can’t handle this otherwise.

kobyzParticipantBest face of the franchise type player in the draft…

StephGoneStephParticipantCare to explain why you feel that way?
0- Posted on: Wed, 06/20/2018 - 7:27am #1120002

kobyzParticipantHard to find such complete, big, well rounded backcourt player who have off the chart basketball iq, instincts winning mentality and leadership… Someone who could be dominate and still lets everyone around him to express themselves and make them better…

StephGoneStephParticipantThat makes sense.

HitsterParticipantThey were looking at Trae and now it’s Doncic so I’d believe they have a deal in place for Schroder. The Magic is a possible landing spot for Schroder and 6th. The Cavs might like Schroder as a scorer so Hill and 8th for him. A lot depends what value a team puts on Schroder.
The Clippers possibly need a PG but wouldn’t want to trade both picks away I feel.
Hawks would ideally want a top 10 pick for Schroder and can sweeten this by offering some combo of 19th, 30th and 34th. A lot will depend where Trae goes and who is left on the board at around 8th to 10th.
The Knicks could be a trade partner too 9th for Schroder and one of the Hawks later picks.

kobyzParticipantI see them getting no higher than the 12 pick for schroder, just like they got for teague…

Roland209ParticipantDoncic is going to the Kings.

weballin.netParticipantI think that would be a mistake to pass on Bamba or Jackson. They both have tremendous potential as defensive anchors and possibly franchise changing players. Doncic lacks that defensive upside and once again, I do think his offense is really off the chart.

JNixonParticipantI want Bamba! If we take Doncic he better live up to the hype. Considering that a Prince, Collins and Bamba frontline would be crazy from a fit standpoint. They must be convinced Doncic is a face of a franchise type and I sure hope so if we pick him
0- Posted on: Wed, 06/20/2018 - 6:31am #1119993
Arc12345ParticipantBamba is no sure thing though. He’s got a long way to go even though I love him as a player.
It’s not out of the question the Hawks somehow wind up with both Doncic and Bamba or whatever big they like besides Ayton and maybe Bagley (if Doncic is gone).
Prince is a solid piece, but I’m still not really sold on him as the future at one of our wing positions. In hindsight I was mad at the pick at the time, but he really has turned out to be one of the best if not the best player after everyone picked after him.
Good find by the Hawks when he was expected to go really late first.

kobyzParticipantIt’s between duncic and jjj, if they decided to go big, it’s jjj over bamba, in today game he’s better fit to collins as he’s better long range shooter and more fluid on defense to switch everything and still having rim protection…
0- Posted on: Wed, 06/20/2018 - 10:20am #1120026
Arc12345ParticipantIf they choose JJJ over Doncic I think that would be a massive mistake.

Andv1 WaitingParticipantHawks Draft:
Who ever is left out of Bagley and Luka D. I wouldn’t take Jaren J with a top 3 as he has Skal Labiserre floor and a A.D(ceiling if he reaches it)
As for there roster:
Hawks Schroder and Bazemore to OKC for Melo who they buy out and agree to this before they do they trade Melo then gets to choose his team and Alex Abrines or Pattrick patterson.
Reason both teams do this Hawks get Cap relief by stretching Melo(Cheaper deal overall Dennis) and Bazemore doesn’t suit their time line anymore. Abrines gives them a semi young piece who is on a cheaper deal and I thinks is also expiring at the end of this or next season. OKC does this to shore up their bench and have a Paul george sub/tempory replacement until they can upgrade again. Denis S becomes our 6th man and helps keep our Bench afloat when Russ W is out.
