JNixonParticipantI am a fan of Aaron Holiday and think he will be a good guard in the NBA. Anyone who remembers me back when I was an active poster on the site will tell you how much I used to hate on Jrue Holiday lol. I hope somehow some way he falls to the Hawks at 19, but where do you guys see him getting picked? I feel he could’ve left last season but really helped himself by staying an extra year and literally carrying UCLA on his back this past season. I see him being a very solid combo guard with scoring punch and underrated defensive ability.

Lotto StudParticipantI can see a team such as Indiana or Portland pulling the trigger.

weballin.netParticipantHoliday can be a strong second unit leader as a scoring PG, not a true PG but enough of a ball handler to play the role for 20/25min

JNixonParticipantHe def can be a 6th man or spot starter, he proved he can be good in reserve minutes or playing alot of minutes. Easily one of the best conditioned players in the nation last season.

pokieParticipantI have him going to Philly at 26. He can play that scoring waterbug guard opposite Simmons like Norm Nixon used to do next to Magic. Holliday can match up with the other squads point guard on defense and leave Simmons to switch to the other wings.

The GoatParticipantI think he can go as early as 16 to Phoenix but i think he will go 28 to Golden State. I have Sexton sliding to 16 in my mock so the next best fit i found for him were the Warriors.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantYeah I see him going to the Suns at 16… I see so much CP3 in his game. I watch every UCLA game He has improved so much

JNixonParticipantI think his best trait besides his shooting ability is his fearlessness, he is a very competitive player with alot of talent. I don’t see someone like that failing.

kobyzParticipantHow he is in comparison with Jalen Brunson? Why should he go higher?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/18/2018 - 12:23pm #1119817

OhCanada-ParticipantFor what its worth he did get a green room invite and other guys in the same tier like Brunson, Shamet, K.Thomas, Melton and Simons didnt. Usually see the green room guys go 1st round unless an injury or something makes them slip.

JNixonParticipanti think he’s a better and more natural scorer and shooter than Brunson is, seems to have a greater upside too

llperezWhat up jnixon you heir holiday hating motherf’r! Lol
Yeah I’m a UCLA fan but I really like Aaron games. I made a thread about him a week or so ago. He apparently has been impressive in workouts including one in Phoenix so I think 16 to the suns is his ceiling come draft night which is where I have him at right now.
I’ll repeat some of the stuff I said in my thread but I love Aaron’s ability to shoot off the dribble with a quick release. Whether deep or in the the middle of lane, his form is always very consistent and smooth looking. He shot 41%… 42%…43%…from three his fresh/soph/junior seasons so he’s legit and consistent from out there.
He also finished well in traffic despite shorter size. He’s a true bull dog attacking the rim.
And you’re right, he did absolutely carry UCLA this past season. The only knock would be the high turnover rate from trying to do too much at times. He would try and split double teams and get into the lane so much that it often lead to trouble when teams collapsed and there wasn’t an open first option to give it up to.
I also really like that he has 2 successful brothers in the league who have shown him how hard you have to work every day to make it. He won’t be in over his head at all.

JNixonParticipantHe was my favorite player in college this past season I thought he should’ve gotten more love for PAC 12 and national player of the year. Glad to see his stock rising after the season, I wanted teams to sleep so he could play for the Hawks lol
