Just wanted to know how valuable 2nd rounders are?.. particularly for this draft. this draft appears to be very deep with talent all the way till the end. My Thunder hold 2 picks in the 2nd round. If I were GM would really try to get 2 guys who can work off or take pressure off my best player in Russell Westbrook (wishlist based on mock):Bruce Brown G,Allonzo Trier G, Deanthony Melton G,Alize Johnson F/C, Jarred Vanderbilt F. Get some guys who are not just shooters but scorers any of these gaurds are solid  late 2nd round Vanderbilt reminds me of a  Kevon Looney. Alize has a great motor could benifit from Adams+Westbrook. But you never Know how the 2nd round shakes out.

trade the picks for a player that can help?

trade the pick to a team looking to move into the second round ? Possibly Atlanta @ 30?

But the Thunder are very late, no way you can trade those for a first. Just enjoy the depth of the draft, you could get some good role players with those picks. I want the Celtics to get a late second round pick this year.

I’m a believer in this years second round. I could totally see OKC moving up into the mid to early second if one of their targeted prospects is slipping, but also think they could get value staying put. With how their roster is constructed going forward, I really think they can go BPA and not feel like they have to draft a certain position. I think they could use a backup PG, a Roberson type defender, a shooting big, or an offensive spark for their bench. Kevin Hervey is the player I believe would best fit their needs as he has similar size and length to Tyler Roberson, but is a fearless shooter off the catch or dribble. He’s a savvy upperclassman that can score from all three levels and doesn’t have to dominate the ball – which is crucial on any Russell Westbrook team. Him and KBD remind me a lot of each other, but KBD doesn’t have the health questions and is just more established of a prospect with a better body of work. If KBD’s sitting there at 40 or so though, I wouldn’t blame OKC for moving up to get him. Here are some other prospects I think could fit in with OKC:

    -Rodions Kurucs
    -Gary Clark
    -Arnoldas Kulboka
    -Wenyen Gabriel
    -Jevon Carter
    – Chimezie Metu
    -Devonte Graham
    -Shake Milton
    -Kelan Martin

Thunder should draft Bonzie Colson I think he would fit very well with that group.
