whats the point of even watching? If he joins the Celtics, that team can literally win 76 games

and walk into the finals.  If you’re a fan of any team in the east, its not worth it to even watch.

ask to be traded partly to get away from Lebron? I guess Boston would still fleece whoever they traded anyway. I like competitive balance in sports leagues, so this isn’t enjoyable for me.

If LeBron is willing to join your team you make it happen. Shedding contracts is not difficult if they are backed by talent. I’m guessing either Hayward or Kyrie would go somewhere for a pack of picks for a rainy day.

He’s not going to Boston as long as Kyrie is on the team.   As someone else stated, they don’t have the salary space to sign him anyway.   He might take a small discount if he joined any other sure contender like Houston.

Houston can pretty easily create the space to sign him, before going into the luxury by re-signing Chris Paul.  That’s the strong bet as to where he lands imo.

On a side note. The players have got to do something about the best players only joining the best teams.  It’s beyond unfair and imbalanced.  It’s only a good situation for a small percentage of players who are lucky enough to be on those teams.  The owners have wanted a hard cap, with roughly the same revenue sharing percentages with the players.

How great would it be if any team could rise like what we have in the NFL?  Players forming superteams would have to take drastic salary cuts and it would discourage it almost completely.

The owners also wanted to slow roll the salary cap increase to avoid the Durrant free agency debacle.  The players are to blame for the imbalance, and their stupid decisions honestly just gave more money to the top players.  The average player would have a higher salary if there were a hard cap.
