HitsterParticipantWhen teams are looking for new front office guys they often go to the more successful NBA teams or those with a highly regarded Fronr Office or GM.
But I was thinking, I’ve never heard of the Celtics front office being raided in recent years despite Danny Ainge being considered one of the very top front office guys in the NBA?
Any thoughts why this is?
Is Ainge pretty much a one man show and doesn’t have someone who may wish to strike out on his own or does his staff enjoy being trusted lieutenants.

publius2481ParticipantRyan McDonough worked with Ainge for a decade before becoming the Suns GM.

BleedGreen808ParticipantMike Zarren the Assistant GM is pretty well respected around the league. There has been talk over the last 3-4 years about him being a possible target for GM openings.

pullapoParticipantMike Zarren and Austin Ainge are also part of the GM team and both are highly regarded. Many consider Mike Zarren to be a top 3-5 GM in his own right (despite the fact that hes never had the job on his own). And as already noted, the Suns GM was an ainge understudy… They arguably/likely have the best front office team in the league.

pullapoParticipantMike Zarren did turn down the Sixers job in 2013. He seems to enjoy Boston.
