For some reason this news of Pop’s wife passing hits me a bit harder than other related news

I feel really sorry for Pop and his family

 Sad news, wonder how this will effect Gregg long term. He will have the summer to take stock of things and could well throw himself into his work. Gregg will turn 70 next year but shows no signs of slowing down.

 I remember being in 6th grade when my friend, his brother & mom died in a car crash. A cop came to our school to help those of us who were grieving. He said something that has Stuck with me to this day. He said death is a part of Living.And it’s something everyone of us will have to experience. I lost my oldest sister a year ago last month.And a cousin to aids a few years ago. I try not to think about it Becuz when I do I always have dreams about them which leads me feeling empty. But I feel better when I recall what that cop told us. 

 Sideline reporter just informed Lebron of her death after the game. He seemed broken up after hearing it. I thought she should’ve waited . 

That’s really sad news and I truely feel for him and his family. I lost my father 15 years ago when I was just 21 and my best friend and only basketball buddy I had 3 years ago and struggle hard with this losses. I really miss sharing basketball stories and playing with him and this loss must be terrible for Greg and his family. 

The way the media handles this things nowadays confronting the players right out of the the blue is flat out unprofessional, unacceptable and morbid. No chance they miss out on an opportunity to make a headline and wanting the players to show emotions being caught off guard with cameras and mics in their faces. 

Like I said I know how it is losing your beloved ones and have to deal with the inevitable to the point where you need professional help cause you need to digest and handle this going forward. All I can say is speak with the others affected about your feelings to not only to preserve the lagacy but to help each other with this terrible situation. My experiences never were others than others being thankful for that even if it hurts and tears are part of that.

There aren’t many wifes I know by name behind the NBAs elite men but Erin was one of those and I wish the Popovich family peace and I’m absolutely sure there is an incredible amount of love and cohesion to get through this together.  

 It also says something about Gregg that he didn’t take a leave of absence to be with his wife, other coaches have taken time off for personal issues. The Spurs are such a well oiled unit that someone like Ettore Messina could have stepped up and they still have Ric Burford there to oversee things.

Also if Kawhi has made a powerplay, you could almost see Gregg thinking **** you and taking a decent offer for him and starting the rebuild.

 Yes very sad news. R.I.P to Erin. Many of the players are close to POP becaue of Team USA. So they understand
