seriously, dont care if im a grown adult criticizing a kid from an all-star game. His making sure that his opponent would score while intentionally sacriffing a close game is the type of stuff losers are made of. No way a kobe or a jordan makes sure his opponents win and get the scoring record like he did last night for emmit williams. The fact they embraced and hugged at mid court during live action after he gave the ball up to williams to set the record was beyond pathetic. I had to turn the game off at that point.

and for those thinking it was just the one basket where he handed the ball to his opponent williams to set the jordan brand record and then hugged him, even before that play, he sees williams cutting off the ball and he actually walks away from the rim to make sure williams scores. He did it over and over. Williams jumping in his arms and celebrating with him during live action was sad, okay im done just had to get that off my chest.

I don’t think All-Star games are as competitive as they once were prior to the jump to NBA rule change. Back then guys played with the intentions of knowing that game can increase their chances for being selected in the draft. The effort will never be the same as to a level of actually taking the game serious enough to dominate the opposition.

The game didn’t count towards anything.

Didn’t see the game, but if they intended on being competitive and he was sandbagging his coach would’ve yanked him. Everybody was obviously ok with him getting the record, which may be another issue on its own, but blame/hate shouldn’t fall squarely on Bazley’s shoulders.

Yeah, I was looking at the game and when I heard the commentators say that he GAVE him the ball, I tried to give the kid the benefit of the doubt because I’ve never even heard of that happening. But later to find, he actually GAVE him the ball and then they later said he told him he was going to give him the ball????

I’m all for the one on one show and if a guy is about to throw down a nice dunk you let that go, but GIVING someone the ball? At that point, what’s the point of even playing basketball? I don’t think I’m going too far in saying that scouts are going to have their eye open on him after doing that. In some way that’s a weakness in there. Didn’t he sign with the D League straight out of high school or something?

Wow, that completely defeats the purpose of competitive sports, even if it is an All-Star game. There should be an asterisks next to that record.

Good. Im not the only person who find that completely ridiculous. At least make him earn it I would feel so belittled if you told me you were gonna give me the ball. Emmitt Williams cherrypicked the whole game all those points were meaningless. Jordan Brand game too MJ was probably pissed. I for one am done with thatt game.

I’m gonna sound old, but today’s generation want everything given to them (the ball in this case). They don’t want to earn anything the hard way. It’s sad.
